Words of writer from Holand. All places have your positive points and negatives, but in outside they maximize the positive points. However in Brazil they maximize the negative points. Here in Holand, the results of election take far time, because don´t have nothing automated. Have only one telephony company and: if you call complaining about service , your telephone can be temporarily disconected. In United States and Europe, nobody have habit of rolling the sandwich in a napkin, or wash the hands before eat. In bakeries, fairs and butchers of Europe, the attendants receive the money and with same dirty hand give bread or meat. In London, there is a famous place that sell fried potato wrapped in newspaper-and have many people in door. In Europe, no-smoking are minority. If you ask for no-smoking table, the waiter laughs in your face, because not exists. They smoking until in elevator. In Paris, the waiters are know for your bad humor and grossness and any waiter of pub of Brazil can go there to give class of "How to conquer a costumer". You know how the great potencies make to destroy one people?Impose their beliefs and culture. If you stop to observe, in all movie of USA the national flag appears, and and usually the time when we are emotional... Why you don´t say about : 1- The book market in Brazil is biggest that of the Italy, with most of 50.000 new titles each year? 2- That Brazil have the most modern bank system of the planet? 3-That your Advertising Agencies win the better World awards? 4- Why don´t say that the Brazil is the country most enterprising of the World and that most of 70% of the brazilians ,poor and rich, devote a considerable portion of their time in volunteer work? 5- Why you don´t say that Brazil is today the third biggest democracy of the World? 6- That despite all the corruption, the congress be punishing your own members, what rarely happen in another countries who claim "CIVILIZATED"? So, Stop say bad of my country, because all places have your positives and negatives points! This is like envy

what? I live in the USA and I never "hear bad stuff about Brazil". but you are right in your last sentence about all places having positives and negatives, therefore, I really don't understand why you talked down USA, London, and misc places in Europe while putting Brazil on a pedestal. A little contradictory ...

Uh... What?? I speak English and am from the United States, and I could barely understand that. From what I could grasp, that article is full of untrue statements and irrelevant comments. We are not in the habit of rolling sandwiches in napkins or washing our hands? What? I don't know for sure what is meant by that sandwich bit, but every time I buy a sandwich it comes wrapped up in paper... Plus, there are stickers in every store bathroom saying that employees must wash their hands, so I would in fact say that we are well versed in the fine art of hand washing. I don't understand what that whole thing was supposed to be about. We went from sandwichs to smoking to AIDS and discussed how an American flag is present in every single emotional scene in an American film because we are rudely trying to impose our culture upon others (oh, how I love sarcasm). In conclusion, that was a horrendously written piece, and I do not understand what it is that you are asking. Have a nice day. *Edit: I reread this, and I am absolutely thrilled to take note of how many cell phones Brazil sells and how outstanding the telephone service is. The writer is really desperately grabbing at cool facts here, aren't they? I find the fact that they take pride in their phones to be quite humorous. Unfortunately my rude teenage sarcasm will be lost on the person who asked this question.
