Since Alice's mom insisted that she learn to use a needle and thread, there's been no stopping her. As befits her status as a business major in college, she's begun taking in small sewing projects to earn a little extra money. She's done FOUR such projects for FOUR different people in her dorm, including EVIE and GARY, and charged them each a different amount of money- $5, $8, $12 and $15. Using this information and the following clues, determine: THE ORDER IN WHICH ALICE DID EACH PROJECT THE FULL NAME OF THE PERSON SHE DID IT FOR THE AMOUNT SHE CHARGED FOR EACH Additional Clues -One person's surname is Mendoza -Repairing the inseam on a pair of jeans was so simple that Alice only charged her friend, a guy who didn't sew, $5 -Alice's job making a custom-fit toga for a friend's Halloween party was the second one after a job she did for a person other than Leo -She charged the person with the last name of Hummel more than she charged the person for whom she sewed on a patch -She did the job for Betty just before she embroidered a person's name on a hat, and immediately afterward did a job for which she charged 3 dollars more than she charged the person with the last name of Phillipson -Phillipson and the person with the last name of Schatz are of the same sex, and Alice didn't do jobs for them consecutively, in any order of who was first -Alice didn't do the $12 job for Betty This is the exact wording I took it from a friend.

hmm.. i'm trying. are these the exact words? She did the job for Betty just before she embroidered a person's name on a hat, and immediately afterward did a job for which she charged 3 dollars more than she charged the person with the last name of Phillipson she did betty's job right before the hat, and right after betty's job she did the one that cost 3 dollars more? so the hat would have to be the one that was 3 dollars more than phillipson, right?
