how can i get them to leave me alone?
i live in a wealthy neighborhood called Rancho Santa Fe, in San Diego CA and the kids at my school refuse to talk to me because my parents make a lot of money. I'm not one of those girls who are really rich and flaunt their money and wear only designer clothes, but they still see me like that. How can i get them to accept me as me, not my parent's money? p.s. yes it would be good to be rich, but its really not.

Maybe try to get involved in extracurricular activities, join some clubs, get involved in volunteering, attend school events, do down to earth things and show those kids that you are the same as they are. Try to make one friend and it will turn into more:) I wasn't a rich kid but I was friends with them.

Let them know that you do want to be friends. Say, "Please don't judge me, I just want to be friends." Kill them with kindness. Smile at those people, and ask them if they'd like to hang out at the park. When you do hang out, only do things that are free. If they are still mean then that is there problem and they are angry with there life not yours. I'm so happy that you aren't one of those "rich b*tches" and remember not everyone is going to get along with you. I only have three friends but I figure I'd rather have three good real true friends than ten fake and flaky friends.

Inviting them over for a party would only emphasis how you live off your parents money. Instead, just get to know people one by one. I'm sure not EVERYONE thinks your that way, probably only a group at school right? Well forget them, they're making judgments off your parents. They don't know smack about you. Join some clubs or sports. Something that will make you an individual so you won't be see as "Daddy's little girl." Its tempting to win the approval or others at school by using money, but don't, otherwise you'll attract "friends" that only want your money. Just be yourself and let them see you for who you are.

dont try to get them to accept you- they're dumb if they're gonna act like that.. it's just like treating someone bad for being poor. you dont deserve that kinda treatment, so just wave them off. you'll find better friends down the road, and sometimes a few good ones are better than a bunch of useless ones. stay true to yourself, you dont have to prove yourself to anyone!

They're not worth your time. Anyone who would judge you by what you have or don't have has some serious issues, with their own self worth. You need to be surrounded by some strong individuals with values. If you're looking for friends then join some clubs at school and get involved. Let people see you for you.

They have dug a line in the sand and are not going to cross it. concentrate on your studies. You know the expression, ' This is so High School,; well this is one of those things. There are petty people where ever you go in the world. Even when you become an adult, there are petty people in the work place. People who achieve usually do it with hard work and determination. It is obvious these girls are jealous of you, and not for the reason they say. In actuality, they are envious of who they THINK you are, and WHAT they think you have. I truly feel however, it is a series of more deep-seated issues on their part. You probably have a lot going for you intellictually and also in the looks department to name two possible reasons. These girls would like the other students to stay away from you by saying these things about you. It makes them feel powerful and important to accomplish this. They in essence have instigated a war against you. They are trying to lay down a totally false foundation of who you are. By sayng these false things about you and establishing a false impression about you with theri daily remarrks to anyone who listen, no doubt. They are in fact, committing slander against you, and it is affecting you deeply. You are worried, you feel stressed by this daily psycological assult. They are trying to redefine your personality without you having anything to do with it. They have in a way accomplished this to a small dregree, as you spend time trying to uravel what is going on, 'why are doing this to me?' They have upset you enough that you are looking for answers from stangers in hopes of making this all go away. These girls must lead boring lives to concentrate on you so much. What they are doing is actually evil. They are starting baseless rumors about you that is casuing you pain and stress. Don't let them stress get to you. Ignore them completely. Give these girls the 'high hat, the 'hoot.' Be nice to other people just ignore them. don't talk to them if they talk to you, but talk to other people in a normal way. They do not deserve your friendship, your time or your worry for one moment. If they chase after you after receiving this treatment, then report them and tell your parents. Maybe you should informe your parents about this situation. Frankly, I don't think its going to get better. I expect they will push the encelope as much as possible. They are tying to make you crack. DON'T LET THEM DO IT TO YOU! Tell your parents about your circumstances. They will take care of it because what is happening is unacceptable. School officials only do what they have to do, not what they ought to do. What is happening to you is totally unacceptable. Planning to buy a mini SUV.Should i go for the CRV,Rav,Suzuki Grand Vitara or Hyundai Santa fe?
I am planning to buy a mini SUV.I liked the CRV but the high price for both Rav and CRV.How abt the less famous ones like Suzuki Grand Vitara.I was in Australia recently i saw many Suzuki's Vitaras around i liked the styling and the 2.7 L engine than the 2.4L of the others.Another one is the Santa Fe. Hyundai seems to be making value for money cars.They have improved considerably as shown by many consumer reports studies.Having reliability comparable to Toyota's. I have a 95 model Accord which was damn reliable.And i have a soft corner for Honda CRV.But they are so costly.Hondas & Toyota's they charge a high premium for their cars.

This is my second CRV. I always buy Honda because I know when I leave the house in the morning to go to work - I know it will start. I have never had one problem with Honda.

Honda and Toyota do have the best reputation, but as you said you have to pay for that reputation. In my opinion, out of the ones you listed the Hyundai Sante Fe is the best vehicle and value for your money. Thousands cheaper than either the Toyota or Honda, more power if you go with the bigger engine Hyundai offers, more room (not much but every little bit helps) and the warranty Hyundai has with there vehicles is awesome, 5 yr 60k Bumper to Bumper and 10 yr 100k powertrain warranty. I would stay away from the Suzuki right now, reliabilty is questionable, and the company itself is in a funk which could lead in the future to dealers getting rid of franchises and that would create a lot of headaches for Suzuki owners and warranty repairs.

...is China pouring in so much money into it's military? Reports of a 55 boat nuclear powered sub fleet of complete with several SSBN's with multi head ICBM's & the first of their new generation super aircraft carriers. Their new generation tactical fighters, modernized mechanized infantry etc. sure makes China look more offensive minded than defensive minded. Could be the old saying tho, "the best defense is an offense". Does anyone see a resurgent China ever becoming an aggressive threat in the east, & or pacific ocean? I have read a few articles about China & their claim to both the Spratly islands of the Philippines as well as Formosa.

China's claim on Formosa/Taiwan isn't one forged out of imperialism, but rather that Formosa used to be a part of a China. It was taken over by the defeated Nationalist government of China, who to this day call themselves "The Republic of China". By comparison with the US, China's defence modernization plans are fairly modest.

There are no super carriers as of yet, and they'd take a long time to complete if they'd be of any quality. They own the Varyag, which they bought from the Ukraine at auction 10 years ago. It has no engines and and was only 60 pct complete and falling apart. No world power has even come close to our super carriers. The Brits don't even use a flat top. The Soviets never mastered it. As for subs, most of their subs are old Soviets hulls that most can't even set sail. The ones they do have, are loud and easy to track. As far as America goes, even if they do develop all these nice toys, how are they going to get them here without see the bottom of the Pacific Ocean first...much less an army. Hell, they don't know what to do with Taiwan, much less us. Your point is well taken however, they need to be watched. The one thing that does concern me is the discovery of caves built into islands with ocean access for their subs. But hey, with bunker busters like we have, those would close up fast. And as far as ICBM's, they're getting better, but they still can't hit a target, and if they keep firing over Japan, I foresee problems as we're required to defend them by treaty.

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A man has been sentenced to serve 20 years in prison for a kidnapping plot which happened two years ago involving two Cornelius girls. Ruben Garcia-Rosario, 27, of Mexico, was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in a federal prison followed by 20 years of supervised release. He has also been ordered to register as a sex offender. Garcia-Rosario pled guilty on July 23, 2009 to attempting to kidnap the two girls. Officials say he was planning to kidnap the girls in exchange for ransom money from the victims' family. According to the US Attorney's Office, in September 2009, Garcia-Rosario asked for help from his wife, Linda Gonzalez, who resided in Edinburg, Texas, in writing a ransom note demanding money from the family of the minors. Garcia-Rosario promised to pay his wife $10,000 for her assistance. The ransom note threatened to kill the girls if their family failed to pay the ransom amount. Between September 9 and September 23, 2009, the US Attorney's Office says Garcia-Rosario drove his car to an elementary school bus stop in Cornelius and observed the two girls as they were waiting for their school bus. On at least one occasion, Garcia-Rosario took pictures of the girls using his cell phone while the girls where waiting for their bus. In September 2009, Garcia-Rosario also tried to retain the services of a translator to assist him in communicating with the family of the girls regarding the ransom note.http://www.wbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=14393829 Today a judge set bail at $1-million for Carlos Cardenas, the young man accused of raping and killing his 15-year-old sister-in-law. The Albion man was arraigned in Orleans County Court Wednesday afternoon. He was supposed to be arraigned on Monday but no translator was available. Investigators say Cardenas confessed to strangling his wife's sister, 15-year-old Katherine Sanchez. Her body was later found in February in an apple orchard. Police say Cardenas had sex with the teenager and she threatened to tell his wife, so he strangled her. Cardenas was indicted on two counts of murder. One is for the actual murder. The second charge, felony murder, accuses him killing his sister-in-law while he was raping her. He's also facing two counts of rape. Cardenas pleaded not guilty. Cardenas walked into court in a thick pin stripped jail jumpsuit. It looked like he was wearing a protective vest underneath. Between September 9 and September 23, 2009, the US Attorney's Office says Garcia-Rosario drove his car to an elementary school bus stop in Cornelius and observed the two girls as they were waiting for their school bus. On at least one occasion, Garcia-Rosario took pictures of the girls using his cell phone while the girls where waiting for their bus. If someone posted the $1-million dollar bail, Cardenas would remain behind bars. He is considered an illegal immigrant and the federal government has a "retainer" order against him. The Albion man was arraigned in Orleans County Court Wednesday afternoon. He was supposed to be arraigned on Monday but no translator was available. Investigators say Cardenas confessed to strangling his wife's sister, 15-year-old Katherine Sanchez. Her body was later found in February in an apple orchard. Police say Cardenas had sex with the teenager and she threatened to tell his wife, so he strangled her. Cardenas was indicted on two counts of murder. One is for the actual murder. The second charge, felony murder, accuses him killing his sister-in-law while he was raping her. He's also facing two counts of rape. Cardenas pleaded not guilty. Cardenas walked into court in a thick pin stripped jail jumpsuit. It looked like he was wearing a protective vest underneath. CORSICANA, Texas - Jeffrey Allan Maxwell, the former neighbor and rejected suitor of a Texas woman, has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault after authorities say he abducted the 62-year-old woman at gunpoint, and then beat her at his home for 13 days. "This is a horrendous case," Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said in a press release, according to CBS affiliate KTVT. "We are... glad she is getting the treatment necessary to overcome a horrific ordeal." Maxwell, 58, was arrested Saturday in Navarro County, more than 100 miles from Parker County where the woman was abducted, according to authorities. Parker County officials, along with the Texas Rangers, began investigating the woman's disappearance March 3 when her house reportedly burned to the ground and she was nowhere to be found. According to investigators, the woman had been taken from her home at gunpoint, shackled, and repeatedly assaulted, reports KTVT. Officials took the woman to a hospital where she was treated and released. She is currently in protective custody. Authorities say the woman ran out of Maxwell's house screaming when she was rescued Saturday after a tip led police to the suspect's Corsicana home. Fowler says he doesn't know how much longer the woman could have made it. That this is a crime that would not have happened if obama and janet were protecting it's citizens and enforcing laws as they should be. No matter what crimes of Americans they bring up, few Americans are criminals, every illegal is a criminal under the law! And these crimes by illegal aliens are completely preventable if the laws were enforced and these illegals were deported as they should be!!

At by anthonta g the point being is if he wasn't here illegally the VICTIM WOULD STILL BE ALIVE. Why should US citizens tax dollars be wasted defending the scum bag who isn't supposed to be here?
