Help with football (soccer)..?

Help with football (soccer)..?
I live in California and my parents do not have enough money to put me on a soccer team. My dad can only take me every Wednesday to play a pick-up game with some of his south American friends. My father says I am very talented and that since I can easily dribble and score on anyone who plays against me that I could become a professional soccer player. My dad says he is saving up money and will send me to argentina next year or the year after that to play soccer or get scouted there. The problem is I dont know if this is possible and I cant wait any longer. I just turned 16 and I am 5'4" and weigh only about 98 lbs. I play like south Americans do and strongly dislike America because of their horrible style of soccer and love watching barcelona and the EPL. My dad says I have a perfect touch on the ball and would make a great playmaker and many people have told me this as well. I am so depressed and just want to play soccer with the best in the world but I dont know if I will be noticed.Should I allow my dad to send me to another country and give up all my education for my dream and if I am sent to another country do u think I will be spotted or is it unlikely?

Even if you don't make it professionally you can always go back and earn a GED. I guess what I'm trying to say is follow your heart! 17
2 :
No. It will be very hard for a pro team to spot you in another country. There are plenty of youth development programs that US soccer has implemented. The highest level of youth soccer is the US Soccer Development Academy. You should look into that. They play very well and fast. Most of their games are two touch. I am a referee and have done these games before. Trust me you are better off here. Plus you can get a college scholarship.
3 :
if u think your good enough go but americans suck at soccer.sorry they just do.i think this because look at real madrid and barcelona and look at galaxy... ya but anyways im goin to spain but idk
4 :
if you are as good as you say you are, you should keep with you education and play in college! if its a money problem, many colleges give out scholarships to talented athletes. you really need to think about all the possibilities! maybe you do try for your dream.. but Just think of home many athletes with more training than you will be going to that.... its hard to think about but you need to think bout responsibly about it ! your dream will always be there after college, you have several years to become better than you are now, its better to go in as experienced as possible!
5 :
if your good enough someone will spot you and make you great. take brazilian ronaldo for instance. he grew up very poor and became very successful. good luck

Do you honestly think everything is about white people?

Do you honestly think everything is about white people?
Do you think whites have it easy? I moved to America from Argentina in 2001. I have lived in three places so far: 1. a mixed neighborhood of blacks and hispanics, 2. a rural area alone, 3. on my own now in a city that's 94% white (I looked it up). I don't think any race has it "easy" or "made." You can't say that blacks are "uneducated" becaues they CAN'T go to college, there are hundreds of blacks at the University of Detroit Mercy (a private Catholic school, so yes they can get accepted any where). I am Hispanic, so I don't say we have it hard either. My stepmom (I call her mom) is Hispanic American and she has a very good job as a CNA, makes lots of money, and I have never heard her say anything about people being racist with her (other than our movie fiasco). People are going to find any reason to hate. We all could be purple, but you'd not be purple enough and they'd let you know. We all could have the same eyes, and they'd say your eyes are different. I truly think you need to let it go, I don't base anything by race and i find it ludicrous you base all your assumptions, "It's because he's black" or "It's because she is white." Really? Is it? I think if a black person has 40 years of medical practice and a white person just got out of medical school and was sued for malpractice the black is going to get the job regardless of race. Argentinians range in color. My mom is pretty dark, people ask if she is dominican. My father is very light, looks white (hence the movie fiasco). I wish to be a happy medium and I am lean towards one color rather than a mix. It's like most races, you come in different shades. I am from Northern Argentina, so we tan easier and some are a "tanned-looking" white people.

NOPE !!

I dont really think about white people intill I go on c&g
3 :
no i do not think all white people have it easy but in america, alot of white people have more advantages than minorities
4 :
Who said whites had it easy?..Last I knew they worked 6 days a week like all other Americans, they paid taxes like all other Americans, they've had to endure a poor economy like all Americans. everything is a little hazy and salty for me to even digest what your telling me is even a reasonable debate or notion. I can't stand before you today and tell you anyone of any color has it easier or harder than me, Coz I haven't lived a minute or second in everyone else's shoes.
5 :
Couldnt give a Fkt.
6 :
No, everything is about people. Or should be.
7 :
i live in the uk not america. my mother told me that i was going to have to work twice as hard as white people to succeed when i was younger. i didn't get what she meant but that is indeed the world in which we live in. i don't complain though. i'm a hard worker anyway and having a victim mentality will hold you down whether you realise it or not. edit: and i'm not saying white people have it easy before people get their panties in a bunch. what i mean is that if a b and w person are both going for an important position, it's better for the b person to be more qualified to have a higher chance of getting that job. especially in a white country.
8 :
I dont think any race has it easy because everyone hates eachother...there's always gonna be someone out there that dont like you because of your race, culture, looks, personality... I think people say white people have it easy because generally speaking in most countries they are in the uppermost postions of power...however ehtnic minorities are making there way up into these postions too...Barack Obama for example :) I think alot of the time people say "whites have it easy" as an excuse to why they are not doing so well, or because they have little confidence or esteem in their own ability to do well... Interesting question :) xxx
9 :
yeah white ppl have it easier cuz they run the country and they want to keep it that way so everybody has to work twice as hard for the same thing like silky fart said. arent argentinas generally white maybe thats why you never noticed? edit im confused are you saying you look white if so this explains your american experience. i never met an argentinian that looked dominican they always look white maybe with a little native but mostly white. if you ask me latinos have it the hardest in this country especially the guatamalans i saw a white police officer using a guatamalan as a punching bag he thought it was funny and the poor guy didnt even know what was going on. it made me sick and also put alot of things into perception.
10 :
I don't think any race has it easier. But in Britain we are obsessed with class and so i think people with money, regardless of skin colour, have it easier in general.

I taught overseas for many years. First of all, it's highly unlikely that you would get a job in a public school in a foreign country without being a native speaker of the language, even if you do want to teach English. Those jobs go first to their own citizens. Many foreigners teach English at language institutes, but the pay depends on your qualifications. You need to major in teaching ESL and perhaps minor in Spanish. You won't get rich teaching English, but you may be able to support yourself with the right qualifications.
2 :
Hey friend! If you want to teach english here in latinamerica, i thing u must go to argentina, cause, in chile, for example, they spaeak too fast and with an strange acent, and with the argentinians, you maybe understand spanish better, good luck, Caro, Mendoza, Argentina.

My family is abandoning me?

My family is abandoning me?
So I know that this is going to sound so sappy and dramatic but I really need some help. My dad moved out five months ago but he was still in the area and I see him as much as I see my mom so both parents are still a big part of my life. My parents, especially my dad, kept promising me that we would be closer than ever and that this would help us out in the longrun but I did not beleive him and it turns out I was right. My dad and mom are now dating different people, my dad is dating a girl I really don't like and she is really rich so I think my dad just might be dating her for her money which makes me upset because he was never that kind of a guy when he was married to my mom. Then he left for a month long trip to Argentina to climb Aconcagua and when he got to base camp that was his last chance to have cell phone reception and he called his girlfriend and my cousin but he didn't call me. This shook me up really bad and I am still wondering if I should be mad at him for it because he really hurt my feelings and I have been depressed about it ever since. Meanwhile my mom is dating a guy who is old enough to be my grandfather and he lives in a different state and I have only met him once before but now he is coming out to my moms house for Valentines Day and that has got me really mad too. Then my cousin came out to live with my dad for a few months and she is taking over his house and she is trying to take over my life and lecture me about being nicer to my dad's girlfriend and she is trying to change who I am and I don't even really know her and I just want her to go home. So with my dad in Argentina and he didn't even bother to call, and my mom engrossed with her bf and my cousin trying to take over my life I just feel like my entire family is betraying me and like I can't trust any of them anymore. I used to be really close with my parents but now I am more angry with them than I ever have been and I feel so useless and like a piece of c*** because obviously they don't care about me. Is it okay to be mad at them because they have ruined my life?

If I were you, I would kill myself. It seems that no one cares about you, not even people on the internet. Please end your life right now before you hurt others. Your dad is happy, and you want to destroy his happiness? What kind of person are you? Please, die quickly...
2 :
Stop expecting things from your parents and you wont be mad at them
3 :
Sure
4 :
Have they? What are you, an aging jobless alcoholic? Nobody ruined your life yet, and there is nothing wrong with growing distant from your parents. It happens to everyone who grows up. We start having a lot of personal problems to worry about, maybe our own family at some point, and we end up seeing our parents maybe once every few months at best. Try not to get so strongly attached to your parents, because one day you will have to start caring about your own self.
5 :
Yes, dear, you life is being ruined by their irresponsible behavior. You did not state your age. If you are old enough get yourself a job,and I mean any kind of job and move out of their lives. It is better struggling that way than demeaning yourself the present way. Don't bother about their love for you as they have lost the old affection they used to have. Just don't feel hurt, of course it is easier said than done, but make an attempt to be independent and away from them both. Destiny will guide you through life. You are a strong willed girl and maybe you will find a loving and caring life partner who will always keep you happy. Just a little tolerance, dear and everything will be fine.

What do i do? my life is so fucked up?

What do i do? my life is so fucked up?
I'm not depressed or anything, but i'm really stressed out about my future. i'm in 6th grade, and going into seventh in about 3 months. i'm turning twelve in less than a month. You see, this is complicated.... i lived in the US for 10 years. i moved to argentina and lived there for a year. my parents moved with me, and left my siblings behind. one of them was 18 and the other was 17. then i came back to the US and my parents are still with us. but my sister(18) is going to college in northern california. i live in so cal. and my parents are leaving to argentina after i graduate from elementary school. i cant go back to argentina or else i will really commit suicide. i would feel so lonely. so my parents made up their minds and are leaving me here with my brother, who is turning 18 soon. but he's so irresponsible and selfish and he'll use all the money my parents leave behind for himself. i hate my brother so much. he doesnt care about anyone and feels no shame no matter what. i swear, i dont know what my parents are going to do. but ofcourse, my brother is going to go to college next year since my sis is going this year. he's gonna be a senior in highschool next year and yeah... i'm really scared. i feel like my life is fucked up. i really want either my mom or dad to stay with me here in america. i never want to live with my brother, and they dont know who to trust their money with. they need to leave behind some so i can survive... and my bro wont go find a job. and they dont trust my brother, and they cant leave it to me since i'm only 12. and i dont know how i'm ever going to survive after my brother leaves for college. i'm scared,, what can i do? my mom and dad WILL leave to argentina for their job... somebody make me feel better and help me find a solution on what to do with my life.. You'll make it. You sound like a smart kid. Don't get so stressed out. Have you considered trying to make some money online? Your writing is probably good enough to write freelance copy. Take a look at Demand Studios and Elance. That should pay for food and necessities. You'll be glad you had to rely on yourself so much when you're older. You'll be a lot better at dealing with life than most people.

Can I get in trouble with the law?

Can I get in trouble with the law?
I'm married and have one child with my husband. Times have gotten tough due to the economy. I want to move to Argentina where all of my family is but my husband does not want tobecause he has his family here in FL. I know we can live in Argentina much better and put my own business. I would actually be able to go and do groceries without having to calculate and make sure I have enough money to cover. Can I just pick up my son and go? Of course, I would tell my husband to come with us and give him all the information of where I live in Argentina. But if I do this, can i get in trouble with the law?

i dont think so. i mean if its a mutual thing i dont see why not. :]
2 :
GREAT question! unfortuntely, you should consult with a laywer instead of people in here. you may get into trouble ONLY if your husband reject the idea.
3 :
Depends on a lot of things. Is your son a US Citizen? Is your husband willing to let you take your son? If not and your son is a US Citizen, and you take him anyway it can be considered child stealing and the FBI might get involved.
4 :
50/50 my aunt fanny! women have more ownership than the men as far as i'm conserned. we bake and birth them don't we? You are not only the parent, but also the one who brought the kid into the world. Plus its not like you'd be taking off with the kid. You will let your husband know. He has the right to go and visit the kid, and bring him back if they don't like Argentina.
5 :
hey i would not because my brother is a lawyer and a person did that and it bad ... so no don't do it !!! ok thanks
6 :
Get a mutual agreement in WRITING. A parent is not allowed to leave the state or country without the others permisson. I've heard of ugly instances where the other parent sets the parent who left up with kiddnapping. It's best to get a courts "Judgement Order".

What is the future of Cricket?

What is the future of Cricket?
Hello my fellow cricket lovers. Leave your thoughts on the future of cricket. As of right now, we only have barely close to 20 nations playing internation cricket (ODI).Cricket is progressing, but very slowly. When would nations like Nepal,Fiji,Marshall islands, Argentina,Brazil,Chile,Hong Kong, Malaysia,Thailand,Papua New Guinea,China And U.S.A will find a break through to play international matches. If U.S.A can find a break through in playing cricket, it would be a great advance in cricket.Once Cricket will find a break through in U.S.A, it will draw more money into the sports which will develop the cricket further.I have a good faith in China, i belive they will turn out to be one of the best team in the world in the near future ( lets say 10 yrs) Chineese does have the tendency to learn faster and they are very passionate in learning new things, and very competiative. ICC Should spent money wisely to promote cricket worldwide ( Such as ICC stepping up to make a stadiuum in u.s.a )

There are alot more than 20 countries, here is a list of countries that are part of the World Cricket league (does not include ICC nations) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Cricket_League Nepals future looks bright, , remember the last under 19 world cup? their surprising win over South Africa, they are truly using their own homegrown talent , give them 3-5 more years, unlike countries like canada and USA(relying on ex-pats, disgusting if u ask me), Argentina is in the Same boat as Nepal, bringing up their own Talent. this is one team that has consistently been improving, Chili is making some strides, and if Argentina makes decent progress on a World Cricket league level (not ICC mind u), chili and Brazil will follow. China is Just Starting, their under - 15 team had a decent showing in the asian championship, 1 win , they hired a former pakistan test cricketer as their coach, give china 5-10 years. Malaysia has made some good strides, have held some International Cricket tournaments.

fine points you have there. I reckon Germans would be better than the chinese because they have the same mental capacity and they are better physically to play the game. don't think china will be great unless there's lots of $$$ and prestige thrown into the game.
