BREAKING NEWS: Maradona has dropped ALL his European-based players from his WC squad?
and is in the process of picking more unknown inexperienced home-based players. "Coaching Argentina is no easy job, and not very high paying either," said the former World Cup winner "so I've made some deals with Argentine clubs to pick their up and coming players and showcase them on the world stage to attract the attention of big European clubs. God willing I'll make some good money off of these deals." When asked if he expects to win the cup with this squad Maradona replied "I have no intention of doing that, I'm just in it to make some money". Messi won't be in the WC. Riiiiiiiight.
2 :
Yes he's definitely trying to make a statement by selecting South American based players but Messi, Kun, Milito (both), Tevez and lots of others play in Europe.
3 :
first he says there isn't enough money, and then he's in it for the money. Typical, he has no media sense at all. If they advance, its because of the players, Argentina has the worst coach imaginable.
4 :
lmao dude i get what you mean.. but at least they have the best attack.
5 :
LMAO @ www.maradonaisafatsackofcrap.com/22874 hahahahah
6 :
OMG!!!That means no Messi,Aguero or Higuain???And the goalkeeper and defenders are going to be South-American based? That means your only stars are Veron and Ortega.Hmmm...the Singapore team could match yours, unless Veron and Ortega step up the plate.

What if I buy ipods in the U.S. and bring them to another country and sell them for profit?

What if I buy ipods in the U.S. and bring them to another country and sell them for profit?
I am going to Argentina soon and was planning on buying several ipod shuffles so that i can sell them over there. This isn't the purpose of my trip, but I might as well make some money while I'm there. Basically my question is if I do this will I have to pay taxes on it to Argentina since I'm technically importing goods with intent to sell them? This is assuming they search my bag and find the ipods of course. Also, how likely am I to get searched? In all the times I've been there I've never had my bags searched but this is the first time I'm going as an adult so maybe I'll look more suspicious. Any insight from people who have been to Argentina and especially from people who have brought items there to sell them would be greatly appreciated.

yes you can sell them from buying their
2 :
You won't make a dime...forget it. Also, Shuffles are very limited.
3 :
They most likely won't check your bags! and if they do just say that the Ipods are gifts or something like that!
4 :
Technically it is illegal but a lot of people do it. You probably won't be searched but if you are and they are in the boxes you could have some problems. You could get rid off the boxes or say they are gifts. Just know you are taking a slight risk, most likely you won't have problems.

I know a guy who lives in Argentina and his friend brings a new camera in each time. He can basically sell it second hand for what it cost in the US. He uses this to try out new cameras but never really makes any money. Also there are fines if you get caught - you can only bring in 1 video camera, 1 DSLR and 3 hard drives or something from memory too, otherwise you have to pay a tax. I also wouldn't know how to go about selling them and what the cost on your time etc would be.

Has anyone flown LAN Argentina from Miami to Buenos Aires? I've heard bad things about LAN.?

Has anyone flown LAN Argentina from Miami to Buenos Aires? I've heard bad things about LAN.?
Thinking of buying a ticket but not sure whether I should just pay the extra money for another airline since I've heard such terrible things. Is it really that bad? I'm flying out of DCA (Reagan) if that makes a difference...

Lan is a pretty good company, when I go home ( Milan-Italy to Buenos Aires) sometimes i fly via Madrid just to get Lan Chile to Santiago and then from there to Bs.As...

I agree with Maricris. I don't know who would possibly bad-mouth LAN. I fly them every chance I get. If you're used to flying the main U.S. airlines, you'll love LAN.... more seating space, better food, better service. I'm from Texas and live in Argentina and have taken the Miami to Bs.As. route and Miami to Santiago Chile route on LAN many times. They've always been great. As a matter of fact, many times, when you buy an American Airlines ticket, the flight is operated by LAN and vice versa. I'm always disappointed when I end up on an AA flight instead of a LAN flight. My advice is to try it, relax and enjoy the ride. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Getty Images Copyright Letter C&D?
I got a letter from Getty about 1 week ago asking for me to take down two images I had on my site or pay the owner $1500 for the both of them. I took down the image ... I had no idea because the site we designed by a firm in Argentina. Now they are asking for money for having the image on my site for three months. Now I am a US Citizen living in Mexico for the last 5 years and I make my money online then deposit it into my US Bank account and have no plans of every moving back to the states. My questions is what is the worst they can do to me?

Getty images has a division in Mexico, they will sue you in Mexico

Issue proceedings in a Court in Mexico and obtain judgement against you, or, more likely, in a Court in the USA, providing that Court permits service of proceedings outside its jurisdiction (which I assume all US jurisdictions have provision for). Then obtain judgement against you and get an order* against your US bank account** for the damages they are awarded. But would they bother? If they were prepared to allow unlimited use for $1500, what would they be asking for for three months use. If you don't want any hassle why not make an offer to settle for something like, say, $250? *Called a 'garnishee' order in UK, US may call it 'sequestration' ** If they are aware, or become aware, of this, of course!
