I officially want Argentina to fail in the World Cup?

I officially want Argentina to fail in the World Cup?
Now its clear to me that the greatest player ever on the pitch is the dirtiest and most corrupt person off the pitch. I have no other way to explain Maradona's ridiculous squad of inexperienced Argentina-based players that have never played for the national team but the fact he's trying to get them noticed by top European clubs, maybe making a little bonus money on the side. Sure he's calling up a lot of experienced players whether in Argentina or abroad, but as we've seen they've barely played as he somehow prefers his inexperienced home-based players. I just don't see how you're gonna win such the World Cup with that kind of squad. Thats like Inter deciding to field their youth squad in the CL final....

maradona owes a lot of money to cocaine dealers and bookmakers

What do you know about Argentina ? Argentina is going to have a hard time to win the World cup because of its coach. They have great forwards and a decent defense for the world cup. They won't fail in the tournament, there is teams that Argentina can easily destroy. What makes the WC so hard to play in is the pressure the players get and once they get on the pitch all they want to do is win because the cup can only be taken every 4 years.
3 :
i agree
4 :
I think Argentina can surprise....Maradona will now be force with 23 players (unlike the qualifiers where he kept dropping and inserting players) Who would you take out and put in? I've been following the Argentine press and their only real surprise was the exclusion of 3 players in the 30 man squad. Zanetti Cambiasso Gago Zanetti was the only player who should have made the 30 man squad. His experience is with no doubt invaluable.....but there has been rumours Zanetti and Maradona have had personal issues and has not relied on him. To exclude him over a player (I believe Garce ) with very little experience is very strange. Cambiasso had no shot on making the squad. He is in fact not liked by some of his teammates and he has that sort of personality that can be damaging in the dressing room. Gago is of no surprise. He fell out of favour with Real Madrid.....has recently played due to injuries of other Real Madrid players but not enough to get him on the squad. The one player I would of love to be given a chance was Ever Banega @ Valencia. I've watched him play since his days @ Boca and has finally come good for Valencia this season. He would be a nice backup for Veron or Masherano.

I don't cheer for them but you must admit Messi is pretty amazing.

The only answer is to switch your loyalties to Spain and these United States of America.

Same like i want Brazil to fail too so they can suck Dunga :D :D Before here in Serbia, to play you needed to pay so thats why some players ive never heard before got in the team, now thank God those corrupt bastards left and that changed but maybe its the case now with Argentina?
9 :
to be honest argentina has one of the best chances because; 1# MESSI, and even if they are inexperienced,2# if there winners they will find a way to win
10 :
I so agree with you. I am having this really big fight with the girl and she loves messi and i really don't want messi to win. So I agree with you.

moving to argentina and playing poker?

moving to argentina and playing poker?
I'm 18 years old. Yes I know, young and foolish and filled with hope for life just waiting to get his spirits crushed. And so, before stands me one option. Accept money from the parents i most deeply dislike, attend a state university, get some degree in financing, making my 60-80k over a career, maybe one day 100k?!?!, hope america's infrastructure doesn' collapse one day, and die on the inside, shitting on every ideal of freedom and staying true to your dreams i ever held. Or... I become a poker pro. Now just stay with me here. An online professional poker player might make anywhere from 15k (you gotta be god awful) to 100k a year (you gotta be really good). Its quiet even possible I hit it lucky and I win a few lucrative tournaments here and there, cashing in some extra few hundred grand. On average, lets say an online poker pro, as myself, will make 50k a year... (Then again, I say I'm going to be making hundreds of thousands, but thats just arrogance speaking =P) At this point, financial analyst for the win. Poker earnings are still taxed as an income tax, the job would seem far to volatile and unreliable (no health benefeits and such), and quiet honestly I come out looking like a fool unless I am the new Phil Ivey of poker. Stage two... I move to buenos aires. Buenos Aires, Argentina, is deemed "the paris of south america". With warm weather, great nice people, and a happy atmosphere, the place seems great from everything I ever read. Not once have I read anything bad about the place. On top of that, due to inflation, on 20k u.s. A year, I'd be living like a prince there (Somewhat). For example, on average a person there makes 1500 pesos a month, 18000 a year. The exchange rate is 1 us dollar to 3.5 pesos. Thus, 20k is 70k pesos. A top notch lawyer makes about 6k a month, or about the equivelant to my 20k U.S. (which i also plan to switch into euros, for the dollars quickly losing value). Anyways, with due practice and diligence, even if I hit the lowest of cielings in poker, I can live happily in argentina. Part three. As a U.S. citizen, living abroad you still follow a U.S. income tax. At first I was infuriated by this, until I learned more... if you make under 95k a year though, your exempt from the income tax. :O. Thus, all my poker winnings now become tax free, and seeing as Argentina has much bigger problems to tackle, I don't see them making online gambling a policy of theres anytime soon. But thats the beautty of online poker! If things get heated in Buenos aires, I pick up my things and move somewhere else. All I need is an internet connection and a bank account and whalla! I am employed no matter where I go :). Part four. I get to argentina, I live happy, and say I'm not a retarted monkey at poker. I make say 50k a year? That leaves 30k a year extra. Those 30k, I invest in mutual fund, (stock and money), which can overtime lead to a year roi of say 5-10%. Say I get better at investing, manage to get my portofolio to a steady RoI of 8%, and continually pump in 30-50k of savings each year (hell, win a tournament or two, and I could throw in something like 100k in a given year.) In about 20 years, at that pace, my investment portfolio would be worth millions. Forty years? ITs not too hard to imagine anything in the range of 10-30 million. Of course, this is all cirumstantial! I can get shot in the head by a maniac who randomly let out a gun shot in the direction of my window as soon as I finished writing this. But what do you think? Is it too insane? I mean the average american savings per year is 400 bux, and on average the debt is something like 150k? Even as a financial analyst, pressured to live up to "Societal standards" I don't see myself investing more than 6-10k a year, and thats without the strain of a family or wife. So, PUT IN YOUR INPUT GUYS!

Do I need a visa to live and teach English in Argentina?

Do I need a visa to live and teach English in Argentina?
I live in the US and my boyfriend lives in Peru. We are thinking about going to live in Argentina for awhile. One, to be together, and two, so we can experience living in a different city with a lot of culture. Before I go I plan to save a little bit of money and also get a CELTA or TEFL certificate so I can teach English. I'm not expecting to make a lot of money while I'm there, just enough to live. Does this sound realistic? and would I need a visa to teach English?

Ask here .. http://www.embassyofargentina.us/en/home/news.htm
2 :
Yes Be aware that for this kind of visa permission has to be given by the National Directorate of Migration in Argentina. This permission is normally applied for directly by the contracting company or institution in Argentina. In some cases the Consulate will apply for permission. There is a charge for making a visa application (this varies from country to country, so you should ask your local Argentinean consulate). In Europe, this charge is approximately 200 euros. The issuing costs of the visa are approximately 100 euros to be paid to the consulate. In the USA, there is $100 application fee, plus an $80 consular certification charge for the worker’s signature on an employment contract. If the company or institution that sends you to Argentina is not registered as a legal entity in Argentina, a ‘declaration’ from the authorities in the company’s or organization’s country of origin should be presented at the Argentine consulate as well as commercial references. Ask your local Argentine consulate for their requirements as these can differ from one country to another. The requirements to apply for a work visa are: Labour contract with the company or institution in Argentina Birth certificate, translated into Spanish by a certified translator Marital certification, translated into Spanish by a certified translator (if an application is being made for a spouse) Passport with a minimum validity of 18 months remaining (for each family member) 3 passport photo’s for each family member (4x4; preferably light blue background; ¾ profile right side) The most common types of work visas are: Article 29 (e) visas – This visa is a short term visa and is issued for short term work in Argentina. The initial validity is of 15 days and can be extended for another 15 days once in Argentina. Article 15 (E) visa (Labour Contract – Temporary Residence Visa) – This visa is issued for employees and people on internships contracted by companies in Argentina. The minimum duration is 6–12 months. You will be treated as a local employee that means a CUIL has to be applied for as well. A formal labour contract between the company in Argentina and the employee is required in order to obtain the visa. Article 15 (E) visa (Secondment – Temporary Residence Visa) under provision 18/94 – This visa is issued to employees send abroad by their company for at least 6–12 months. A labour contract is not required Notes: Persons having a contract with an Argentinean company or institution also have to sign an employment agreement in the presence of the consul (there is usually a supplementary charge for this made by the consulate) Persons sent to Argentina by foreign companies have to sign their labour agreement at the corresponding company. Spouses and children of applicants of a temporary working permit that want a permit to live in Argentina have to show proof of the family ties. This can be done by means of a marriage certificate and/or birth certificates at an international form. Once employees arrive in Argentina, they also need to apply for a DNI/ National Identity Document and a CUIL/ Unique Code for Work Identification.
3 :
To live and work? OF COURSE, to do that you need a visa ANYWHERE in the world. DUH! However, as a tourist, no. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_requirements_for_United_States_citizens

What do I need to do to make my Windows XP Professional genuine? I need help, I don't understand.?

What do I need to do to make my Windows XP Professional genuine? I need help, I don't understand.?
I tried updating it a couple of days ago and it said I don't have a genuine copy. So my latop isn't doing so well right now. I bought my laptop from my cousin before she moved back to Argentina. I have nothing for it other then the cable to charge it and a mouse. I had no idea I would be dealing with a problem like this, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it from her. I don't have that much money to spend on any type of software..so if you know a place where I can get something cheap that will resolve my issue, please help me. I don't know what else to do...I heard that my laptop will become useless if I don't fix this asap. Please help! Thanks!

You can a)buy a valid license, can be not so expensive if you try, for instance, an academic one. Search at school.
3 :
Go out and buy a real copy and do a clean install. Harry
4 :
Feel your pain! Bought my comp on eBay. Same problem. Microsoft wanted to sell me an "electronic validation" for my XP Pro for $149. (For XP Home it's $99.) You have to get a legitimate FULL INSTALL disc (not the upgrade) and follow the instructions to repair. Then you will eventually be able to enter the new and legal 25 digit Product Key and become genuine (as far as Microsoft is concerned.)
5 :
CALL MICROSOFT AND TELL THEM THAT YOUR COMPUTER CRASHED AND YOU GOT A NEW HARDDRIVE AND THAT YOU TRIED TO INSTALL WINDOWS AGAIN AND THAT THE CODE SAYS ITS NOT VALID THEYLL GIVE YOU ONE
6 :
ok, here is where the microsoft monopoly comes up, they want the costumer tha buys a copy of windows to only be able to install it in one computer, even if your computer was programmed with an original windows disc, it'll become illegal because the code has already been used before, unles you use your computer for business or something real importand it dosent really matter, you wont get the biger updates but if you make sure you have a good antivirus and firewall program you will be fine, i have had 3 computers with the same problem but i havent even worried about it my comps are fine, and no your computer wont become useless, not true, just enable automatic updates and your computer will still get the basic updates wich will help too, my advise is, dont sweath it you'll be fine.

Need to know if I have to pay taxes. I am not a US resident and I live outside the US?

Need to know if I have to pay taxes. I am not a US resident and I live outside the US?
Hi guys. I lived in the US for 5 years. My working visa expired and I decided to come back to my country. Now, my question is this: I make about $50,000 per month for an LLC I own in the US, and that money is deposited in my US bank account. When I go to the US I do it with a tourist/business visa. Since I don't live in the US anymore, and I spend my money here in Argentina, should I keep paying income taxes? BTW, I have a SSN

I do believe that your company is supposed to file tax returns and you are liable for taxes for employees and so forth. The income is generated in the US, so it is taxable to you. If you want more information, you can contact the IRS via their web site... www.irs.gov
2 :
If you are engaged in a business in the US, then you will be subject to tax on your US sourced income. There are limits on the number of days you spend in the US to determine if you are a resident or non-resident. A resident would be required to report world-wide income on their US tax returns. If your LLC is considered to be a partnership, then you would need to file US partnership tax returns. Your share of the income would have to be reported on your individual tax return. If you are the only member of the LLC, you would not need to file business tax returns. You would report your income directly on your individual tax return. You're probably required to pay estimated taxes throughout the year, and may even be subject to penalties if youre not doing this. You should really contact a professional. Im assuming you must have an accountant in this country to handle your business here. If not, contact a CPA in the US for your tax filings.

TEFL/ Teaching English Abroad------///----///----////----//// Argentina:)?

TEFL/ Teaching English Abroad------///----///----////----//// Argentina:)?
Hey guys, I'm 20 years old living in the States and just finished my first year of college. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with teaching English abroad and what you did. I'm interested in Living abroad to teach, not just joining a 1-Year program. - I heard it's better to have a 'degree' before traveling abroad to teach English, but I also heard it's very possible to find a job with just a TEFL certificate or similar. I've lived in Argentina for a couple years and that would be my first country of choice to work. I know the pay isn't the greatest from teaching English but if I could make enough money to support myself I'd be fine. One more thing, it doesn't have to be Argentina, I'm mainly interested in leaving the States. Any ideas? -Thanks - I'm not interested in 'studying abroad. I want to know if anyone has any experience working/living abroad.

You'll get the best job if you have a college degree and a TEFL diploma. The college degree doesn'thave to be in English, BTW. You say you lived down there -- do you speak Spanish? That will be a great help. I taught mostly in Asia, but the general rule of thumb is that if you want to work for a decent school and get a livable wage, then you need to have good qualifications. Your experience in Argentina will be a plus, and don't knock the 1 year programs, because with your experience there you could make connections that would enable you to stay.

Why do white people have so much money?

Why do white people have so much money?
Without any racism, I just noticed that white people have more money than any other race. I am an African student and I study at an Asian country, my studies require a lot of traveling so I've been to a lot of countries, I wont deny that my family have some wealth hence they can afford my study fees, the thing is I rarely see tourists from any non-white countries and I always wanted to meet only 1 family from my country in one of the countries I visited but I didn't succeed. I've been to many countries like Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand. I study tourism so traviling to these countries is a must for us. But what I noticed is that at night we always end up hanging out with white people no matter what country we are at, and what amuse me is they are always from different countries like, Canada, New zealand, Argentina, US, South Africa. I don't recall seeing any other race from these countries in places I went to, only a handful. Also before going to Asia, I thought that when I go there that the place would be filled with Asians from other countries but all I ever see at beaches are white people and a few Asian people and no African people or any other people. I am not trying to be racist I am just really wondering why is that? Asians and other races also make money! but do they spent it in a different way??

I'm assuming you're from the U.S. Obviously, you'll need a valid U.S. passport. VERY recently, Argentina began charging an entrance fee to U.S. citizens coming into Argentina, but ONLY if you enter at the airport in Buenos Aires. If you come in from Santiago, Chile, there are flights to other parts of Argentina, such as Cordoba, Argentina's 2nd largest city. This is NOT a visa, but an entrance fee that's good for 10 years. I believe it's close to 100 dollars. You will need a visa to enter Brazil legally. They force U.S. citizen's to have a visa and charge the same amount as Brazilians going to the U.S. as part of their reciprocal policy.
2 :
as the person above mentioned there is a new entrance fee when u fly into BA it is 131 american dollars they do this to try and get back at america for charging them to enter our country but anyway when going to brazil from argentina try and avoid the tri border area as it is known which is the area which paraguay brazil and argentina all meet it is known for drugs terrorist and scores of other illict things so do some research and find a safe way of entering brazil because you dont wanna b held for ransom also brush up on some common spanish and portuguese ( they are fairly similar) because it depends where u you go but sometimes you can find yourself in a situation in which nobody speaks a word of english it can be a difficult spot so its good to know enough spanish to communicate enough to get your point across also remember that you arent in united states anymore its a diff country w diff customs but you should b fine just always be alert and have fun if u have time of the oppurtunity to visit the city of tucuman, argentina i strongly suggest it ( some of the most beautiful women i have ever seen reside in yerba buena a small town just outside tucuman )
3 :
What I can give you is an idea of how to go from Buenos Aires to Brazil. If your friend lives in Buenos Aires, you may want to cross by ferry to the small and historic town of Colonia in Uruguay, and maybe stay for the day or spend the night there and then head to Montevideo, Uruguay's capital. I don't know what time of the year you are planning to come, but try to avoid cold and rainy winter (June-July-August). After Montevideo, you can head to Punta del Este, an upscale beach resort, which should be pretty quiet during low season (all months except for Dec-Feb). Then keep heading east, and go to la Fortaleza de Santa Tereza, in Rocha, and then go to the Fortin de San Miguel, and then you are in Brazil. I don't really know Brazil, but I would like to visit Curitiba.

Moving to Australia or Argentina or a European Country?

Moving to Australia or Argentina or a European Country?
I have looked into moving aboard and lived in Europe for a short duration of time. Europe tends to be more expensive to live so I am considering Australia or Argentina. I do not have any money saved up for the big move. Working two jobs now to make the bills and save a little bit. I have been accepted into the MSC information and library science programme at Charles Sturt University in Australia. Any suggestions of what is the best country that offers good employment opportunities for migrants and healthly living. I think I should maybe forget about Europe because I am not a EU citizen and also the cost to live is very high. Have considered the UK, Switzerland or Germany to relocated. I know some spanish, french, swedish and german. The US have not treated me fairly with some situations I have had. I been ripped off and lied to by corporations. Also, told to go back where I came from from a branch manager at a large US company.

I live in Australia, its gaining on the US expensive-wise. HUGE opportunities for employment over here at the moment. Mining companies need blue and white collar workers in regional WA and are paying $100,000 plus to get them! My family is moving to Newman (WA) at the end of the year to take advantage! There is a housing shortage though so you will need half a mil to buy a house or $300 a week for rent.

Is it wrong for Colleges to have communist leaders speak at the college?

Is it wrong for Colleges to have communist leaders speak at the college?
I had recently heard of a professor of some college that invited the leader of Iran to come over to our country and speak at the college. I feel that since Iran is in bed with North Korea, and North Korea was just busted because they were making and distrubiting counterfiet American Money in the United States and Iran is very vocal about being anti-American, this guy should not be allowed to speak in our Universities, and the Idoit that invited him should be tossed out of the Country or thrown in jail because I feel that he is a security threat to our Nation. People like that are threats to this wonderful country and they need to be dealt harshly with, because they sacriface the saftey of all the other people in America. When they sacriface our saftey, I feel that they should loose their rights. Just like criminals, when their actions harm or hinder another persons rights they should loose all of their rights. This is how we need to treat this college professor. He's a Trader!

No, neither the president of Iran or the professor should have anything bad happen to them. First of all, the leader of Iran IS NOT going to commit a crime while he is here. He will always be surrounded by police and secret service agents. Second, I doubt he would come for fear of assassination. Yes, he is a tyrant and all that, but what is going to happen if he comes? He's going to talk sh*t and a bunch of college students are going to boo him off stage? The leader of Iran meets with American and World leaders all the time. He is a world leader, not a terrorist (not directly anyway). He will try to give a motivational speech about how Iran is trying to be peaceful, it will be a facade and no one will believe him, and maybe he'll do some questions and answers that'll catch him off guard. Props to the professor. When you refuse to listen to your enemies side, why should they listen to you? When you refuse to hear their word, you too are causing violence in our world. A lack of communication and understanding causes a lot of problems in our world. Take what the leader of Iran says with a grain of salt and know that he is evil, but take the opportunity to listen to someone the whole world has their eye on.
2 :
I feel that you represent everything that is wrong with America today. First, the syntax, spelling and grammar of the above rant is something that I would expect to see from an eigth grader, and a poorly educated one at that. Second, it shows that you are very closed minded, to the point of being a bigot. Third, it's obvious that you didn't go to the lecture to hear what this person had to say, and yet you condemn it. Free speech shouldn't be limited to the 'warm, fuzzy' stuff. It's important to hear ALL sides of EVERY issue before making up your mind.
3 :
Wow. How is someone who has an idea they want to talk about a physical security threat? Those are the only ones we should be concerned about. This is America. It's perfectly acceptable to have opposing views and to express them in the appropriate places, such as when you are invited to speak at a college.
4 :
A college is supposed a free marketplace of ideas. People who are old enough to go to college are old enough to listen for themselves to all sides of a question and make up their own minds. We believe in freedom of speech in the US, and that doesn't just mean freedom of speech for those who agree with you, it means for everyone.
5 :
It's really a major ethics case. I agree with you 100% that it is wrong for this so-called professor to invite the leader of Iran into this country, let alone our colleges. The problem is that there are also a lot of far-left extremists who think there is nothing wrong with the ways of a communist country and even insist that the U.S. converts to communism. Therefore, no ethics are being violated (in their minds). **For those who believe that this question is ignorant, I'd like to ask you if you'd let Hitler (if he were alive) into our country so that he can speak to our college students?
6 :
in order to make good judgement in our lives, dont u think its a good idea to hear both sides? CRITICAL THINKING is what school attempts to teach us.
7 :
No its not because there is freedom of speech and just because he is a communist does not mean that he is going to try to convert people to communism. That college is not so smart in inviting him because right now we are having some serious issues with Iran over their nuclear weapons program
8 :
Supposedly we live in a democracy, not in a democratic dictatorship.
9 :
While Bruce J's words were a tad rough, I agree with him. This professor should NOT, under any circumstances, be thrown in prison just because he wants to expose his students to other points of views throughout the world. While we may not agree with a lot of Iran's president has to say, he has the right to say it, especially since he's a head of state, on his own soil, not ours. But he's a non-issue compared to the idea that you want to throw the professor in jail. The professor has done nothing illegal, and just because, you do not agree with what he's doing, does not make it wrong. And he is certainly not a traitor, and does not deserve to go to jail. And he is most likely a U.S. citizen, and cannot be "kicked out". Doing either of these is something Iran would probably do, not the U.S. And we don't need to be like Iran. Also, I don't think he's a Communist. More like a thorn in a very fleshy area of the body.
10 :
In my opinion allowing communist leaders speak at the college can be allowed subject to some restrictions such as it must not devole on the communist ideology and the nothing must be stated as against the college where he or she will speak. Further, the college must ensure the safety of the speaker specially in schools where there are many anti communist.
11 :
You are so full of it. You keep going on about 'Freedom' and how you are going to 'bring' it to the rest of the world and then you start attacking freedom of speech. Unbelievable!!
12 :
"The only communists left in North America are the teachers at American universities and Castro in Cuba." Don't know who said it, but the actions and words of a lot of college professors are proving it to be true. I agree, these people are so anti-American that they are traitors and should be forced to live in Iran or North Korea or Afganistan or Iraq or Darfur or Mexico, etc....Wonder if they could live without electricity and running water?
13 :
Dear gigi exchange of ideas and learning is what higher learning is all about.I know that ignorance can be bliss sometimes but Iran is not a communist state. The fear of ideas is what has gotten us into the mess we are in now with leaders who can not speak their mother tongues leading people who wear political affiliations on their sleeve. We need a lot more free thinkers in our midst and that is what college would do.Don't be afraid of `decent, bring all ideas and concepts into the light so we can expose them or we live like Napoleon and his bunch "four legs good Two legs bad"

Is this what is happening in America?

Is this what is happening in America?
We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC , filled to capacity by many of America 's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California . He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream. Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America . The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States . He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America . It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'" "Here is how they do it," Lamm said: "FIRST, to destroy America , turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country." History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: "The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy." Canada , Belgium , Malaysia , and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans.". Lamm went on: SECOND, to destroy America , "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds. THIRD, "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: "The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together." Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities." "FOURTH, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school." "My FIFTH point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population." "My SIXTH plan for America 's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common Language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia , threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E. Pluribus Unum" --From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'plu

What a load of crap. It sounds like he wants a pure white nation where everybody speaks English and thinks the exact same way. That would be destroying America.

The thing about dual citizenship! What about Uncle Rupert Murdoch father of News Corp (FOX & Lie) net work! Does that apply to Uncle Rupert! When have you picked up and bought anything that was not stamped MADE IN CHINA? What American made that product?

What grade(A,B, C,D,F), in your opinion, does this essay deserve?

What grade(A,B, C,D,F), in your opinion, does this essay deserve?
Dear President Obama, We all enjoy a life of luxuries. Even those who can’t afford luxuries have them. However, these “luxuries” come at a heavy price. Cars, gadgets, the internet and electricity have become a part of our daily lives. Humans, who don’t enjoy hard work (no matter what people claim)enjoy the convenience these tool provide us. However, while we are carrying out our functions, getting upset over trivial matters, plotting, scheming, and being human, we forget on whom we are walking on. While we try to destroy others of our own species, we don’t realize that we are also destroying the one who conceived us: Gaea, also known as Mother Earth. We are slowly destroying our home. Like a cancer, the actions that harm the world keep spreading. Also like a cancer, there is a chance the disease will leave, but only with grueling treatments. And now we are standing in front of crossroads. Either we can heal the Earth, or we can watch it slowly die, plunging the world we know into a devastating apocalypse. There are many ways we can cure the disease that the “superior beings” brought on. Even the simplest changes can help us toward our goal of leaving the world the way it was before we poisoned it, plague-free. I won’t bore you with the standard “save water, save energy, save trees” advice. Only God knows how many times people have tried to get people to listen to that message. Truth is that people are hearing the messages, but not listening. The government and many charities are spilling thousands of dollars to try and promote these changes. There is another, more effective way. First, get actors, pop stars, athletes, and other teen idols to promote these changes. Second, put some boundaries on factories and oil companies. Last, try to slowly influence American car companies to become entirely hybrid. You, sir, have the most power to make an actual change in our country, if not the world. Adolescents idolize pop stars and models and athletes. After all, who wouldn’t want to be like them? Get them into the plan. If you get famous, rich people whom every teenager knows they will probably influence adolescents a whole lot more than Public Service Announcements. Adolescence is a great age group to target if we want to save the Earth. After all, they are going to be the future, but they aren’t so young as to be controlled by their parents or guardians. After all, we need to think about the future world. And the best way to construct the future is to have that future make the blueprints. I’m sure no one has forgotten the oil spill that occurred in the Gulf of Mexico not too long ago. When I read that the only “sentence” BP got for the spill was to pay for cleanup and other damage, I was horrified! An oil company such as that one is rolling in money. Money isn’t the solution to everything! And why is it that a person can go to jail for a lot less serious reasons, but a company that killed so many beings can’t? You probably know more about this than I do, but I think it would be a good idea to put some boundaries on factories and oil companies, if only for the sake of our environment. Those companies won’t have any lasting damage if the get a little less money. As President of the United States of America, you have a powerful image. Almost no sane person can contradict you. The best way to use this image to change the world is to influence car companies into becoming hybrid. You could also influence civilians to buy hybrid cars, maybe even possibly create a scheme, such as getting 30% off of a hybrid of their choice if they turn in their old car. If everyone in the country decides to drive hybrid, think of what a difference it could make. Getting everyone to drive hybrid could possibly stop the ozone layer above America from melting(which is bound to happen if we don’t stop burning fossil fuels). I have just given you a few suggestions for saving our beautiful planet. You know how sometimes once optimistic and bright people went depressed and slightly crazy after drug abuse? Well waste is Mother Earth’s drug without the addiction or high. If we keep polluting her, astronauts in space will see the lush greens and sparkling blues we see now, but a dull dirty gray. The most beautiful, thriving planet in the solar system will be reduced to ashes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The prompt was, "write a letter to obama explaining why it was important to conserve the environment and how can we do it"Im not going to say what grade I actually recieved on it because I dont want to influence anybody's opinion.

Wow, good for you. Enjoy the life while you can. If you can get in contact with some travel companies / magazines maybe you can write some travel articles. How old are you? If you are realtively young 18 to about 30 maybe you can earn some money on the beach if you go there. One thing you need to remember. If you are not a citizen of that country, then you may be violating the laws of that country by not having a work permit. I see you will be hitting a lot of countries that require visas in advance. Have you taken care of all your visas? http://www.samspassport.com Whatever happens, enjoy your trip.

I would cut back my intinerary to say this time the Dominican Republic and Cuba. Save it for another time and go for Mexico through Costa Rica by bus, not expensive and good buses Then fly to the mainland of South America, Colombia or Venezuela. In Colombia you can take a boat down the Amazon from Letiicia, Colombia Work is not easy to come by and pays little

It's simple. Players are attracted to the money and the exposure and where do you find the most money in football? Not in Africa, and not in Latin America but in Europe, and if it wasn't for the salary cap rule in the USA, I believe we would see many talented Europeans in the MLS.

Could Argentina have economic gain if they work with Britain on oil exploration?

Could Argentina have economic gain if they work with Britain on oil exploration?
Argentina making noise again over Falkland islands territorial right due to Britain's oil exploration in the South Atlantic, but I think Argentinean government is using this dispute to distract its people from the on going concerns like Argentina's economic problems. If Argentina work with Britain instead of being hindrance in the South Atlantic Argentina's economic worries might go away because of money coming from oil, old enemy's might become good friends.

are you by any chance an american, because no British person in their right mind not even the bnp would think twice about the answer to this. Argentina can get stuffed. And if our special friends have different ideas they can take the special agreement and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. We dont dictate border control with mexico to the usa so keep out of our business. Edit: fine get yourselves a history of the world or an atlas and tell me when argie had claim to OUR island, never is the answer, so b4 you go poking your noses into explosive political questions I suggest you do some research into the real world.

firstly, your question IS valid, and i don't think you should be vilified for asking it. What the Argentinian government is saying is what the electorate want to hear. They are, after all, politicians. And Viceversa on the british stance. What will dictate this whole project is money, plain and simple. Argentina will have many engineers and scientists working on this project, employed by global companies. I don't think the Argentinian government would be so foolish as to use the dispute as a distraction from their economic woes as that is exactly what they tried the last time, and we all know how that ended up!
3 :
Yes, This could really help Argentina's economy if both nations could come to an agreement that would benefit both countries equally. It's a shame, but it seems warring leaders seem to be more popular with it's people, especially if the vast majority of them are gullible to propaganda. Look at the blunder Bush made by invading Iraq, but many still regard him as one kick butt president that doesn't take any crap. Even though this mistake cost thousands of lives and billions of dollars, and will continue to take lives and a billion dollars a week for the next ten years.
