I'm not a big partier but i don't want to spend my nights sitting at home on study abroad in Buenos Aires.?
What can I do for fun in the evenings that isn't dangerous or requires a lot of money? Also, I am an active person, I love to do quiet things, I am a lot of 'bookish' interests, I guess you could say. I also love making friends but I'm more of an introvert and boliches tire me. I like to drink but I hardly ever enjoy getting trashed.

I'm not gonna lie, you're going to have a hard time in Buenos Aires if you don't party. Its a huge part of their culture to go out to bars and party so you'll definitely be missing out. However, I'm the same as you, an introvert and non-party person, so I often found myself alone exploring the city. To be honest, I never met another person in Latin America who was an introverted as me, but I'm sure you can find someone. BA is a HUGE city though so just keep your eyes and ears open and look up events on the internet to see what goes down in the evenings. And, use couchsurfing.com to meet other expats (foreigners) in the area that you can hang out with. Suerte!
2 :
Argentine Tango is a major thing down in Buenos Aires. Some places offer free or low-cost lessons - maybe even available at your university. Since you're active, and this is truly something special about BA, why not give it a try? Not only would you learn something new, you'd also be getting involved in the social life down there - all without ever having to take a drink, unless you want to. Since you're active, this might be a good fit for you. And it's cultural, and it's something that must be learned, so it may appeal to your "bookish" side as well. It'll allow you to make friends via a common activity - I really think you should give it a try.

Why money is so important in this world? Isn't money THE key to life (however preposterous this sounds)?

Why money is so important in this world? Isn't money THE key to life (however preposterous this sounds)?
Almost everyone on this planet is compelled to use money. We have no choice. I think there are only a few communities in this world (maybe a few tribes in Africa, or some people in the Brazilian jungle) who don't rely on money to survive in the world. Everyone else HAS to use money whether you like it or not. So isn't this pathetic that something as trivial as the ink constituting characters and numbers printed on a piece of paper can have such an impact on our life? If you are ill and have money, you get the treatment you need. If you don't have it, and you can't earn it, and you have no one to borrow it from, or if you can't devise a method quickly whereby money starts falling from the sky...then that's it. You're dead. Literally. The same goes with food. You can't walk into a Walmart store and tell someone at the till "I need to take some bread, milk and honey home, but I can't give you any money for this". People would look at you with incredulity. So again: no money = no food. No food = starvation. And so you die. And we can go on and on citing examples at how important money really is to sustain human life on this planet. But why is it like that? Why does money make the world go round? And why does God (if there is one) give money to some people, and withhold it from the others? Like this man who was convicted for raping a woman in England. Once he was let out of jail (temporarily), he bough himself a lottery ticket, and won millions. Whereas many homeless, starving, desperate people in London, New York, Buenos Aires or Calcutta are scanning the pavements as we speak looking for any coins, which passers-by might have lost by accident, in order to buy some food. What the hell is going on !!!?? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3554008.stm

only because it's easier to use a representation of value instead of trading chickens and cows...
2 :
Because without money... You either wind up homeless, in prison, or dead...
3 :
The key to your question and statement is "this world". In that you are absolutely right about money. Money makes the world of today go around. Sad but true. It has replaced self-sufficiency because it offers a better guarantee than the vagaries of nature. Everyone is entitled to enjoy the benefits of the luck of the draw. Remember the movie about the slum kids in Bombay that won the lottery. In many ways, it was mirrored in life because the actual slum kids that played the parts are now set for life. Luck is nothing more than an intersection of opportunity and preparedness.

I've read a lot about it and I know a lot but I want to hear from a native or someone who's been. I just want to know things you can't find out by reading up on. I really want to go there someday but I want to make sure before I spend a bunch of money.

It's ace. I spent 2 weeks there during 2007. It has lots of wonderful different neighbourhoods, a lot of history, some fantastic restaurants/bars/nightclubs, great shopping and very friendly people. Better still, you can combine your trip to BA with a short hope across the River Plate to Colonia, Uruguay (very pretty, peaceful little town) and/or Iguazu Falls (spectacular, world-famous waterfall). Don't shop in the trendiest areas, mind - prices are the same as Western prices, to trap Western tourist shoppers. Head about four stops north of the centre on the metro to find where Portenos shop (and prices to match). Take an afternoon in San Telmo to watch people dancing tango in the squares, and visit La Boca on a Friday for the markets.

How rich people make money in poorer countries?

How rich people make money in poorer countries?
I have this Geography homework on how rich people make money from poorer people and why they move to poorer countries like Buenos Aires etc... I know that they have the poorer people working on really low wages and I can think of other things but they are more like drug dealing etc. The homework is me advertising my country for richer people to come and make money from the poorer country. I would like some other ideas please on how richer people make money in poorer places and poorer people. Thanks!

In my experience, the wealthy relocate to 'poor' countries for the fine living. It is a little known fact that countries such as Chad and New Guiny have a widely wealthy populace. The countries are also crime free and there is no poverty.
2 :
Entrepreneurs move away from places like America because of the burdensome personal and corporate tax rates, over-regulation and constant meddling by the feds. If you want them to move back, bringing their companies and jobs with them, you'll need to address those concerns.

Do Liberals think John Stewart makes them informed and smarter?

Do Liberals think John Stewart makes them informed and smarter?
Ed Lasky points us to this revealing article from Commentary Magazine's blog by James Kirchick that proves John Stewart doesn't know squat about foreign policy. The scary part is that Stewart's Daily Show is taken as gospel by millions of under 30 dimwitted Americans who believe the world is straight man to Stewart's comic "genius." Hezb'allah, of course, has several attacks credited to them outside of Lebanon, specifically the bombing of a Jewish community center in Argentina -an attack that killed 85 people and is considered the worst terrorist attack in that country's history. And Hamas has been involved in international terror since its founding, funnelling money gleaned from "charity" groups all over the world to violent Palestinian terrorists in Syria and elsewhere. The fact that Stewart was either unaware of these facts shows that the joke is on him. Scott, you are correct 100% and these ObamaCrats are still blaming Palin's cross hairs for the AZ shooting! (Pathetic)

So you get your opinions from a blog on an obscure magazine website? I think the real question is, do conservatives think random gibberish lends their attack rants credence?
2 :
What's really scary is that so many people are willing to form their opinions based on nightly comedy routines. I have no problem with John Stewart. He's a funny (if misguided) guy. The problem is that the dumb-masses actually use his comedy show as a news source. What's next? Are we going to start getting parenting advice from Charlie Sheen?
3 :
ITS A COMEDY SHOW!! you are the one who is taking jokes as being "facts"
4 :
Uh, ya, cause foreign policy is going so well now and in the past few decades.
5 :
So, this guy simply says that Jon Stewart doesn't know anything about foreign policy, and you take that as some kind of irrefutable fact of life? Dude, I'm not even a liberal and I understand why they laugh at your lack of logic.
6 :
Well, like it or not, the topics that Jon Stewart speaks about are all newsworthy and he speaks hard truths from both sides of the aisle. But, it is a comedy show, so of course they don't think it makes them informed or smarter. It makes them laugh. The point of the Jon Stewart show is that the politics we see today are silly and very laughable. These idiots in Washington are a bunch of morons and Stewart points this out. If you don't like Stewart, then don't watch him. Many republicans watch his show too by the way, because Stewart makes fun of both parties. If it's laughable, he'll make a joke out of it.
7 :
It's a sad commentary when comedians present the news more accurately than a whole TV network devoted to it.
8 :
Easy big fella, the one thing the left will defend even over the President is Jon Stewart, because he delivers the news with a laugh. They will tell you it's a comedy show, so leave him alone, what they don't tell you it's comedy propaganda show sponsored by the liberal left.
9 :
And of course everything that comes out of the Israeli propaganda machine (for example the unproven allegation that Hezb'allah was involved in the Argentina attacks in '92 and '94) is gospel truth?
10 :
I think most people realize that Jon Stewart is a comedy show and don't take him for the gospel. While on the other hand there are several out there (I'm not naming names) that rely on Glenn Beck to keep them informed. FOX news advertises him as a true commentator and a lot of people do believe what he says. Even to the extent of buying 'food insurance' that he advertises. At least with Jon you know it's comedy. With Beck, well lets just say that I find him hilarious.
11 :
Nobody takes The Daily Show as gospel. They take it as comedy. His job is to take what people say and to show them how they are hypocrites or otherwise stupid.

Those aren't news pages in front of him, it's the script. :make funny face, turn left: :pause for yuk-strip: :hold for a three count: :increase volume, be sarcastic: :shake head & throw arms up: :begin again, slowly: :spin around in chair: :look to camera on right: :wait for yuk-strip: :hold for six count this time: :cut to commercial: An actor people, (he has writers), not a political intellectual, only posing as a pundit in a genre of comedy. When is the Governor of South Carolina going to call it quits?

When is the Governor of South Carolina going to call it quits?
I want to thank the AP and UPI for breaking this story. Our Governor Mark Sanford is under investigation again and this time it's not going away. I wished he'd cut his losses and get out now. BTW to Majgross and Wolf on this answers.com hey fellas you pull your ,out of your rectal fill in the blank. They are Governor "Lost Cause" Sanfords cheerleaders they see nothing wrong with the affair that Mark Sanford had. They don't think the military should wade into this fiasco. They are drinking Kool-Aid and smoking latin lettuce. One even said he's done some training with Special Forces Advisors and such they must have let him fast rope out of a Helicopter and he fell on his head eh Majgross anyway tomorrow the dubious Governor is holding a press conference to answer his new charges: using state owned Aircraft to take personal and political trips which is unlawful. And I am still going to ask hopefully to his face did he earn the rank of Captain fair and square when he was at Charleston Air Force base but he's going to lie to my face just like he lied about the Appalachian trail by way of Argentina eh Governor Sanford, likes to kiss pigs, can't control his Lieutenant Governor who has committed so many traffic speeding felonies it is not even funny...but I forgot he has the DI thing in his favor "Diplomatic Immunity" he can speed he do things that would get regular people a police record. He commit felonious acts and still remain a state constable. Mark Sanford can accept money from people that train animals to fight and kill each other call them chicken cock fighters. Someone cried because cock fighting is a felony they want it reduced to a mis-da-whatchamacallit (I am being funny) but even before Michael Vick people were doing this long ago and even today people stage dog and chicken fights. But the cops never seem to be able to catch the crooks. BTW while I am on a Governor Mark Sanford roll...he has a Supreme Court Justice her name is Jean Toal (she looks Bi) she has been involved in so many hit and runs and she claimed she could not remember hitting someone's car then she drove away. Like the Lieutenant Gov. she has DI and she thinks people are scared of her. This state is a freak show not all of it or the people but you can get a joke a minute from this place the Confederate flag, that horrible slang south-thern accent don't blame me blame your Governor he makes me detest your state most of all. A big liar and coward. Did you know Prince Harry of England a kid has more gumption than Mark Sanford. He wanted to fight in Iraq and the Royal Household would not let him so he sneaked over to the war zone. But he did not lie he told them he wanted to fight. And he was by hook or crook. Mark Sanford has done no time as far as I know in Iraq or Afghanistan. Prove me wrong. Stay tuned at 9:00 AM on Monday we have our say with our LAMEDuck Governor.

You know this is way too long. I couldn't read it, but luckily I know the answer without. He will not resign. As a member of the shadowy religious group known variously as "The Family" and "C Street", which models itself after dictators like Hitler and Mao, and is working for a world-wide Christian fundamentalist cabal, he considers himself one of God's Chosen. God wants him to be Governor, and God has waived all laws and rules. He can do whatever he wants and needs no forgiveness. ∠°)
2 :
South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has proven himself to be an embarrassment not only to his family, but more importantly, to his state and to our nation. Twice in my lifetime, the extracurricular activities of my state's governor (New York) has proven to be an embarrassment to us. The first time was in 1963 when Governor Nelson Rockefeller divorced his wife of 31 years to marry 'Happy' Murphy. These actions cost Rockefeller the 1964 GOP presidential nomination. Infidelity reared its ugly head again when Rockefeller died, in 1979, when he was with his 25 year old secretary. The scandalous circumstances of his death were widely reported. In March of 2008, Governor Eliot Spitzer was implicated in a prostitution ring. He resigned within days of the public disclosure. The actions of Governor Mark Sanford can not be excused. They go beyond having an affair. He disappeared for days. He broke his bond with the people of South Carolina. His trust and his ability to effectively govern has been irreparably damaged He simply must go.. His repeated apologies, and draping himself around his Christian faith, and saying God will make him a better leader does not fly with me. As a congressman in Washington, DC, he shared a townhouse with other good 'Christian evangelical' lawmakers including Nevada Senator John Ensign and former Mississippi Congressman Chip Pickering, who, since then, have ALL been implicated with extramarital affairs. Must be something in the drinking water, what do you think? Sanford has to go. And, now, we find out about his expensive plane trips? The so-called 'fiscal conservative' who orders his staff to use 'both sides' of a 'post-it note.' What a hypocrite in so many ways. Fiscal Conservative? Hypocrite Evangelical Christian with High Moral Values? Hypocrite Role Model as Governor/Leader of his state? Hypocrite Devoted Husband? Hypocrite Attentive Father? Hypocrite I have never believed in anything so firmly...Sanford has to go!

How do I get my parents to let me have some freedom when I'm home from college?
I go to college on the other side of the country from my childhood home. I go to a liberal school and I have a lot of freedom. I have always gotten good grades and have never been in trouble with the law or with my school in any capacity, and I'm even a student leader. Despite my pristine record and my daughterly, very helpful manner around the house, my parents refuse to let me have any freedoms, despite the fact that I am 19 and don't live in the house anymore. I have a boyfriend that I've been seeing for 9 months now, and I've met his parents and he's met mine. We are going to be separated for 6 months because he is going to China for study abroad and I'm going to Argentina. I want to visit him for 4 days, and I'm using my own money to buy the plane ticket (I had a job at school). However, my parents think it's "too much" for me to want to go visit him, and are making it really difficult for me to go, basically saying that they won't let me. Instead, my mother wants me to stay at home and do paperwork for her for free. I don't even have a car at home, and my parents insist on instituting a curfew, even though I'm in college. I just can't deal with arguing with them anymore. How do I assert myself and stop being under their constant attempts at controlling me at home? Yes, I am living at the house now- I come home for winter and summer breaks. I would have gotten my own living arrangement or been out of state, but I'm only in the states till July, and then I'm in Argentina for study abroad. Also, I don't have a car because they sold it after I went to college, without my permission. And by "freedoms," I mean things like allowing me to visit my friends, having me do other things besides just chores and errands around the house- which my brother does not have to help with at all. I hope that helped!

Why going "home" after College anyways? Try to rent an apartment with a friend (to ease the burden of rent and other expenses) and live a normal adult life, and "visit" your parents on occasions. I knew right after College, I couldn't go back home and live the life my parents wanted for me. Get room mates, work it out !
2 :
I can't help but be confused by your question. Do you live in your parents house while writing this, or do you live somewhere else? When you say "refuse to let me have any freedoms," what does that mean? Also, from what you say it sounds like your parents are the reason you don't have a car at home- did they not get you one, or did they force you not to buy one? If you want to be treated like an adult, then you need to present yourself as one. Bargain. If you're upset about the curfew, tell them that they have the right to lock their doors at night whenever they want but that they no longer have control over whether you will be inside or outside those doors on any particular night. If they don't want to be disturbed after a certain time of night, it's their prerogative. As for the plane trip, find someone else to take you to the airport. Although they might be trying to influence you to keep your money for something they might interpret as more important, it's your money to spend or squander as you please. If they don't want to drive you to the airport, then it's not their job. If they're going to refuse you money next year based on how you spend your money now, then it's still your choice between their money and seeing your boyfriend. No matter how things happen, it's still your decision to make. You can be a dutiful daughter and an adult at the same time- just recognize that you can't control their input if they want to make things difficult.
3 :
Try to stay with a friend while your in the area if its only a short time. Get a roommate that can find another person for the apartment to continue the lease. You are 19, educated and clearly capable to make your own decisions. You live in their household but you are legal age. If you were to make a wise decision to go out with friends against their will what will they do? If you can no longer stand how they are talk to them. If a good talk doesnt work for the situation you have no other choice but to not be dependant on living there temporarily. You will have to find another place.
4 :
If things are so bad and you want your freedom, then that's easy. Get a job. Pay for your own school, bills, supplies, utilities, etc. Get your own place. Simple. They can't tell you what to do or how to spend your money and you don't owe them anything. If that is not something you want to do then you're going to have to deal with the issues at home. They are paying for college and you get to come back to a home with a family there for you when you feel like it. You don't have to pay rent...but you get to do chores. Don't you think you owe them at least that if not more? You don't pay for anything and yet you are acting like the child that you still are and you want to have your freedoms at home. Pay rent, utilities, your own food, etc and work that up with your parents and then you will be able to have your freedoms and show how responsible and adult you are. I think they have a good point about not visiting your boyfriend. It's only been 9 months and you're 19. That isnt' long enough to get to know someone and you are still very young and have some growing up to do. What happens when you go to see him and you get in a fight or he acts like he doesn't know you....you'll be stuck in an unfamiliar place alone. Not a smart idea. Save the money for that apartment, paying for school, bills, etc and saving up for a car. By the way......many people don't have cars and they manage to get to work just fine. If you want something bad enough, you fight for it and do whatever you can to get it. As long as you are under their rook, you have to obey their rules. It's very simple. They aren't controlling you. They are being your parents and caring about you. If you don't want that........well, you know what to do by now. Freedom costs money. You also will go a long way with you parents if you cut the attitude and begin to grow up and appreciate them.
5 :
I think you need to assert yourself a little more and basically tell them that your going, you deserve to go, and they are not going to to stop you. My God, girl, you sound like the child of everyones dreams and they are giving you a hard time about your freedom? I think they need to take a good long look at your track record and act accordingly.

Should the USA have bothered bidding for 2022 World Cup?

Should the USA have bothered bidding for 2022 World Cup?
Before any Americans get up in arms and possibly offended let me explain my question. It was fairly obvivious that the 2022 World Cup was going to end up going to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) because 4 of the 5 nations are in the AFC (personally i would have like it to have gone for Australia (who are in the AFC) , but thats for another time). My main point is, Should the USA pulled out of 2022 bidding and waited for 2026 becasue (and here's the logic): Europe were guranteed 2018 Asia was bound to get 2022 (which they did) South America won't bid till for a tournament till 2030 becuse they have all made a pact not to harm or challenge and have promised to back a centenery bid by Uruguay/Argentina All that means that The USA would only face eligible bids for 2026 from Africa, Oceania and fellow North American bids. It seems unlikely that Canada, Mexico or New Zealand are going to put a competive bid together and time between 2010 and 2026 makes it unlikely that an African bid would win, not to mention that South Africa is 'probably' the only suitable african nation Plus, it is my understanding that a country for a future hosting continet has to wait 2 tournaments to bid again eg. South America 2026, Europe 2030, Asia 2034 So with this logic in mind and that the USA can and probably will walk into hosting 2026. Was it a waste of time and money the USA bidding this time round? (I get why they placed a bid, but would they have been better off looking at the picture tactically and possibly saving time, effort and money)

NO THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE. WAIT UNTIL 2026 OR 2030

You make some vaild points. In hindsight I'd say no- that goes for England as well. Once you take in some of the comments Blatter made prior to the voting (i.e: "When Russia bids for something, you can never say no". Along with a statement where he stated he wanted to bring the next two cups to new lands).-This tipped his hand that two new countries would be annointed. Taking in that I'd say it was a waste. USA selling features was they'd make a boat load of cash for FIFA. Problem is FIFA already makes loads of cash. Blatter has these delusions of grandeur that he will be awarded the Noble Prize soon. HA! Your point about it was Asia's turn was wrong, as they hosted it in 2002. I think it was pointless for Japan and S. Korea to bid as they just hosted it. I think Australia would have been a good choice. I think I echo other "rational" USA fans and say that I would not have a problem if the Aussies were awarded the Cup. So 2026 will be interesting. Hopefully Blatter and Platini will be out of office before the next round of voting goes. You're right about CONMEBOL and Argentina/Uruguay-which deserves to host again. As far as Africa goes, I think Morocco is capable of hosting a successful WC. In fact they were majorly screwed over by Blatter when came to the 2006 voting. They were a popular choice, and rumors swirled that they were "promised" to host the next Cup (2010). Egypt is a questionable host.
3 :
Well, I don't think it was a waste of time if anything I think it was to prove a point. To show that we are starting to take soccer seriously. What about the Women's WC? We can bid for 2015 or 2019 right? 17
4 :
nope qatar alreaddy have the cup for 2022 check their stadium out they are very nice
5 :
you make pretty good points. in hindsight, no, it was not a good idea to bid, but fifa would have loved to have the usa host the wc. think about it. the usa generated (at least last year), the highest percentage of their revenue. and a lot of the football, stadiums are multi purpose. many pro and collegiate stadiums can easily hold well over 100k people. dallas stadium alone holds 120k. ohio state can hold 100k, so can ann arbor, dont get me started on the new giants stadium and msg, and i didnt even mention any in la. and not to mention the fact that the tv ratings would sky rocket. i think that would be about 10 times higher revenue than the past one, factoring in inflation. the 94 wc in america (although im not nearly old enough to remember) i think was shocking to see how many people in the usa actually showed up. but i think the main reason is to show stability. soccer is popular in asia, but in north america, its the most popular sport (most played recreational sport), we all know about south america and europe. in asia, the fastest growing sport (thanks to mainly yao ming) has become basketball. dont you think that fifa would want to keep soccer as the most dominant sport in asia too? i mean, its the most populated continent on earth. and also, to boost the economy. and i think its a great pr move. blatter isnt the most popular guy in the soccer world. i think he would get support from the media when it shows how soccer is boosting economies in all areas of the world (although qatar has a thriving economy). but thats my theory. i guess we will never truly know.

(WARNING LONG READ) Basically I would like you to read this and tell me if these two like each other?
The two people’s who conversation you’re about to read, once fancied each other. nothing happened though, because they blew hot and cold with each other. Many months ago they had an argument and fell out. Then one day having both logged onto MSN coincidently at he same time, this conversation began….. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ One Sunday afternoon an MSN conversation occurred, between two people, who’d known each other for a while……. Jason says: Hi Sylvia. How have you been? Sylvia says: Hiya Jason. I’m good, how’s you? Jason says: Very well thanks. Recently back from Oz and NewZeland - was over there for 5 weeks seeing friends and family. Jason says: What have you been up to? Sylvia says: Excellent! I’m really happy for you, I know it was something you were eager to do. Me, I finally finished my six month contract as a magazine journalist last year, and now I’m starting on my second book. What are your plans now? How was NZ and how was your father? Jason says: My folks are great Jason says: I’m going to be an uncle on 1st May Jason says: So when do I get to buy your book from the bestseller shelf at WHSmith? Sylvia says: Awwwww, you sound excited I’m sure you’ll love the experience. Jason says: Always excited Jason says: So what of your book? Sylvia says: It will be a series of short stories about an ex addict. Jason says: What happens to the addict? Sylvia says: She talks about being hooked on heroine and how she eventually, with a lot of help weans herself off it. Jason says: Right sounds thought provoking. Jason says: u gonna try to get it published? Sylvia says: Yes, when I’ve finished writing it. So how’s you, what are your plans for the future? Jason says: Just lining up another 12 month contract with central gov. Sylvia says: So your experience from working with them last time hasn’t put you off? Jason says: Taking 2mnths Nov-Jan to go back to Oz and NZ Jason says: and then onto to Tahiti, Easter Island, then Chile and Argentina Sylvia says: Amazing!! Jason says: Wedding in Sydney 15 nov then in Arg 3 Jan 09 Jason says: both are best friends getting married. I’m best man for 2nd one Jason says: Met anyone nice yet? Sylvia says: Nope, you? He’s silent when this question is asked, then after 3 minutes he types….. Jason says: met someone before I went away Jason says: bad timing really Jason says: being away for 5 weeks Jason says: have seen her since but bit like starting again so we shall see Jason says: met her in the gym Sylvia says: Bad timing is always the way lol. So what is she like? Jason says: small, dark. very bright, funny, sexy Jason says: she’s cool Sylvia says: Cool, well I hope she makes ya happy hun. Jason says: we’ll see Jason says: nothing happening yet Jason says: so what’s next for you? you gonna be working as well as writing the book? Sylvia says: Nope, I work for a few months then take a few months off just to concentrate on it. Sylvia says: I also do other stuff, like volunteer work, and meeting up with friends etc. Jason says: I’m increasingly coming round to your way of thinking re: work life balance Sylvia says: in what sense? Jason says: I’m thinking about short contracts/consultancy work instead. Sylvia says: Oh that would be a good idea, it will be good money too. Jason says: earn some money over about 8 months of the year then spend time travelling and possibly writing etc for the rest of it. Jason says: certainly appeals Jason says: I won’t be doing a 9to5 working for someone else until I’m 70 that’s for sure Sylvia says: Lol! Sylvia says: You’ve never mentioned writing before?? So what would you write? Jason says: fict, no,n-fict whatever! Jason says: hopefully with better punctuation than the above! Sylvia says: lol! You sound so much more happier! Jason says: much more? Jason says: we both need an English language course! Sylvia says: Not really it’s not like we’re writing an essay or anything. Jason says: ahem Jason says: I was joking... Jason says: haha Sylvia says: I see the sarcasm is still there. Jason says: always Sylvia says: does your girlfriend like it. Jason says: she loves it... Jason says: I gotta get going Jason says: heading out Jason says: was good to chat to you again Jason says: keep in touch Jason says: laters x x I’ve chosen not to answer with any goodbyes. Jason says: ok bye Sylvia says: Take care. THE END

Life-living-exploration before expiration.?

Life-living-exploration before expiration.?
Okay, so right now I'm living with my best friends family, I'm 18 years old and I feel fresh and ready to go out and explore. I have to get a job here though before I do because my family has no money to support my traveling. I will be getting a heating and air conditioning job for this summer, and I hope to save up a few thousand dollars. I'm not just going on a vacation though, I'm moving away from the united states, I will probably end up in puerto rico with my friend though first. (she lives there) I would like to live in south america or spain. I have done lots of research online and have read a few books at the bookstore. I still can't narrow down one country that I would like to live in though. So far I'm stuck on brazil, and argentina for some odd reason. I really like what brasil has to offer but argentina just sounds like a very exciting place to live. I was raised in miami so I already have a hispanic back round, but nobody around me seems to understand me as far as my thinking goes. I like to sum things up a lot and I have already predicted my life here in the usa and I truly believe it would suck. I'm just not interested in the things this country has to offer. One example, I love real soccer. And here in the u.s its this football crap, and its all just a bunch of whiny little babies complaining about how much money they deserve. Its kinda sad to be honest. It rubs off on the people here too. I'm completely interested in latin culture and will be living it pretty soon, I just have to put my mind to it and not fall into this society. Even before I knew I wanted to leave the us. I started making drastic changes In my life. I was 300 pounds and one day I feel like I woke up from this place and realized what I had gotten myself into. I lost over 100 pounds, and have completely turned my life around. I was getting bad grades in school, then when I woke up I started getting better grades. I was also distancing myself from high school curriculum though. I was

What do you think about the third world?

What do you think about the third world?
I live in a third world country (Argentina) and I'm really ashamed of it. I want to know what thinks the people who had the luck of born in a normal country. Maybe you complain a little bit of your country, maybe because is having a bad moment. In my third world damm country not one single police man is honest, all are corrupt, there's not one single job well paid, the politicians are all corrupt but when I say all I mean ALL; they eat all the budget money, they don't do anything for the country and always makes falsies promises. To the worker man they discount 220$ of his salary for the homeless and the divorced mothers, the "homeless" get drunk with the money of the govt and rape or abuse or the kids. If in the USA are 20% of unemployment, here in Argentina there is like 60% of unemployment, almost all the country is poor, there only one country capital, is Buenos Aires (where I live) and is like a factory of murderers, drug addicts and thieves. Only the 20% of the province is the capital of the country, the rest is countryside. The economy is worst than crap, is awful, 1 dollar is 4 pesos. The criminality rate is like 80%, the people confused "democracy and liberty" with debauchery, they do whatever they want to and know one do anything about it. The criminals have a revolving door, they get in and out of the jail, just like that. The minors can rob a store and the police can't do anything about it because it doesn't exist any laws to punish them and no one want to do something about it. And a lot of stuff more and worst. Believe me when I say is not a good place to live, if you come here to live a couple of months you will return running to your country. If right now america is having a rough situation you better not complain, because once more you don't know what you have.

Human nature is the same the world over. In a country where more people have more, you merely have more people who despise the poor. It always seems better somewhere else. Here's a little story to illustrate my point: When the great Buddhist teacher Atisha was going to Tibet, he was told the people of Tibet were very good-natured, earthy, flexible, and open. He decided they wouldn't be irritating enough give him the opportunity to practice patience (a big Buddhist virtue), so he brought along with him a mean-tempered, ornery Bengali tea boy. The Tibetans like to tell the story that, when he got to Tibet, he realized that he need not have brought his tea boy.

I lived in El Salvador until I was 18. I was blessed to have a green card by then. I moved to America. I can't complaint. But I worry about my family in the third world because they're facing the similar problems to the ones in your country: vandalism from gangs, underpaid jobs and high cost of living, etc. Since I made friends there, and most importantly, I have family there, I'm not indifferent. I pray for them. I'm not in a position to help them financially... but what worries me is that they might just call one day to tell me they were victims of criminals and what not.
4 :
I wasn't aware things were that bad. Had friends from Buenos Aires when I was in high school many years ago, and they said it was poor and unstable, but didn't give any details. I guess things have gotten worse in 50 years. I keep telling people in the US that socialism is much preferable to the anarchy they want and call freedom, and deregulation. Good luck, I wish you well.

I want to move to South America, what will I need, how realistic is this?

I want to move to South America, what will I need, how realistic is this?
My partner and I both live in the United States but want to move somewhere in South America, we're thinking Argentina, Chile, Peru, or Ecuador. We are going to work for a while here in the states to save up money so it will still be a while until the move is imminent. I know they speak Spanish in all of those countries, my partner speaks it fluently, and I'm learning quickly. What I want to know is what countries out of the ones I listed would be the best to move to, in terms of cost of living, how easy/difficult it is to get a job, and just living there in general? How much money would be a good amount to have saved before making the move? Any resources you could point me to would be much appreciated. :)

South America and most other countries on earth allow almost NO legal immigration. Remember this the next time you hear some racist la raza nazi hispanic complaining about Americas immigration policy's.
3 :
Moving to South America is very feasible. My whole family moved to Ecuador (parents and four kids). We love living in Ecuador and have had some cool experiences. Right now my husband and I are working in the US, saving to go back. We plan to save about $6,000 to stay for a year (we own a house so we won't being paying rent). I'm not sure about the other countries you listed, but Ecuador is very affordable. See my website for more info...

I think my teacher is doing something illegal, and I want to do something about it!?

I think my teacher is doing something illegal, and I want to do something about it!?
To sum it up: My teacher is making us pay for a grade. Details: My Spanish teacher tells us that we have to go to the winter formal, which is $10 per person. I asked him why we had to, and he said that it was "a cultural experiance." Well, I went and it was a normal dance, except it had some spanish music. I know that he is wanting money for a trip to Argentina, but he can't force us to pay. Actually, we had an alternative... We could have written an eight page essay, but who would pick that over a dance. and since it was a formal, I was expected to wear a nice Expensive dress. Well, he can't bribe us. I would understand if it were extra credit, but it wasn't. I want to complain, but it's not really my style. I am not happy and I don't know what to say or how to go about it. Ten points to best answer. I will be checking tonight.

If I understand you correctly, your teacher basically said that you could do one of two things for your grade: 1. Write an eight page essay, or 2. Attend a specific cultural event (the winter formal). You didn't pay for your grade, you simply chose the easier assignment.
2 :
You are so right. He should not have givien you those 2 choices!! If you dont want to go to the dance then you shouldnt have to. Yeah he needed money to go to Argentina. I have never heard of a teacher doing that. And I understand that its not your style to tell on him, but someone needs to know this, so what you could do is casually mention in front of another teacher, to a friend lets say, "oh my gosh can you belive we had to choose paying for a dance or writing an essay!, I have never heard of that!" and any teacher listining will ask you about it.
3 :
Talk to another staff member (guidance counselor, principal, other teacher, etc.) about this. Ask their opinion. He shouldn't force you to pay to go to a dance instead of writing a long essay. It is hard for me to say the right answer in this, so talk to someone who does know if this is right or wrong.
4 :
Giving you the option to attend a formal dance or do an essay is fine. He didn't force anyone to go to the dance. He gave a choice. And, he may be raising money for his trip. But, how do you know that the dance money is going to him? The dance had to have been approved by the principal. And, the principal knows where the money is going. So, if the money IS going to the teacher, the principal said it was ok. The teacher isn't doing anything illegal. :)

Is a straight man's sex drive his biggest weakness?

Is a straight man's sex drive his biggest weakness?
Men will spend hours of their day on porn websites. They will waste their time and money on a woman they don't even care about just for the gleaming hope of getting her in the sack. They will risk their political careers just to rape a maid in a hotel or have a secret fling in Argentina. Their desperation for sex makes women's lives so much easier. Women don't need sex as fervently as men do. Men just kind of throw it in our laps though. We don't have to work for it. We don't have to do anything really. When we feel like having sex, we can get it. Do men ever think their lives would be so much easier if they weren't thinking about sex and women all the time? I mean I like sex, I like men, but it's not the center of my universe. My world doesn't revolve around it. What do you think? Men, do you ever want to just NOT want sex anymore? Do you ever want to stop your urge to fap to internet porn for a good portion of your day? Just think of how much more productive you'd be if you weren't ruled by your extreme longing for sex!

If men no longer thought about women, then what would you do?
2 :
Nope. A man's sex drive propels him to accomplish incredible feats, or atleast attempt to. Despite what feminists say, we're all mentally hardwired from years of evolution to respond to certain things. Women respond to men who can provide for kids, while men respond to fertile women. In our society, this translates into men chasing money and women chasing the men who make money. The more money a man makes, the better his chance of bedding attractive women. Think about it. If it wasn't for sex, then why would a man spend 8 hours working in a job he hates? -ahoy, the pirate of masculinity has struck.
3 :
No,and your ignorance is YOUR weakness. Stop generalizing.
4 :
No man is controlled by his sex drive. Anyone who is is a sex addict. That's just a fact.
5 :
i don't fap to internet porn....much anyway. and i have self control, the same thing that keeps me from living unhealthily in all the other ways that are easy to do. but yes, sometimes it can be a biyatch.
6 :
No honey ... it is potentially his biggest strength. A man without a sex-drive is a strange and confused one. The male sex drive gives him motivation to create, construct, build, foster, nurture, provide, learn, grow ... It is driven by testosterone. We speak poorly of testosterone ... but that is what makes men do manly things, and act in manly ways. That is what makes men, men. Men who have addictions are the ones who have not channeled their most powerful asset in a productive way. It takes discipline for a man to do this. I don't know a lot of men who even spend an hour a week looking at internet porn. But I know they are out there. I know that some men have something of an addiction to it. I am sorry for them, because they have a problem. They lack discipline and self-restraint. But his sex drive is not his biggest weakness - it is his biggest strength. His lack of emotional control is his biggest weakness.
7 :
For men, food and sex are the most primary drives. But most exercise excellent self-control. Women are the same. We just have better control. So the problem isn't sex, it's strength of character.
8 :
All you have explained is capitalism. Imagine a world were man and women just f...uck. I'm sure there is a planet out there in total orgasm! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b7qaSxuZUg
9 :
I thought rape wasn't about sex? IMO no I don't think my sex drive is my "biggest weakness". Sex and masturbation is enjoyable and relaxing and there is plenty free porn so there is no need to pay for it. You are also making sexist generalizations.. most men aren't slaves fapping to internet porn all day like you seem to think, most men do have self-control.
10 :
You sound like you want to have an account suspended!
11 :
NAAAAH, WE'RE LIKE SEX CAMELS WE CAN GO ON FOR MONTHS WITHOUT SEX.
12 :
It can be if you're retarded like a lot of men are unfortunately, but if you're intelligent, its easy to control and harness. All energy comes from one pool, sexual energy can be harnessed to create things, this is called sublimation, which is essentially taking your sexual energy and harnessing it to do more productive things. So it can be a weakness if the guy is an idiot. For people like me its not wasted on you, its used to create things that will outlive me.....and you ;) So it can be his greatest strength, or his greatest weakness, it depends on the male.
13 :
What percentage of men actually spend hours per day looking at porn? You could search the web for stats, but I suspect the % is lower than you think. It's true that men will spend time/money and otherwise behave differently if desperate to get a woman into bed. But not all men are that needy. When you hear about the sex crimes/exploits of the rich and famous men, keep in mind that they are unusual men in unusual life situations. They are not representative of the typical man. And older men are much less horny. I've read that women sometimes want sex more than men, perhaps during one part of the menstrual cycle. But most of the time, yes, the average woman probably is less focused on sex. Attractive young women do have it ridiculously easy when it comes to getting sex. Too bad they are more fixated on finding love and romance, and perhaps getting married to a man who can finance their childbearing; that is not easy at all. So I guess they don't have it easy, after all. And aging or ugly women sometimes find it difficult or impossible to find men interested in them sexually. Yes, men's lives would be simpler if they were never obsessed with women. But some of them would be less driven to succeed, and they would experience less enjoyment of sex (and, later, parenthood). The human race would have died out, or been much less numerous, if that were the case.
14 :
I don't think that's true. Sex for me isn't a weakness. I feel sorry for anyone who has no control over their hormones. That said, I don't have sex, and I also don't think my life is any easier than men who are having sex. I think your entire premise is based on ill-conceived notions about men's sex drives given to you by the mainstream media.
15 :
The biggest weakness is that men don't seem to know that women want sex, too. As you said, they will waste their money on women and just basically throw themselves out there. And the men who do this make it hard for the rest of us, men. Think about it. If I am not going to spend a penny on a woman, then why would she want me? She can easily find a man who will shower her with money. "Women don't need sex as fervently as men do." Women need sex. The difference is that women can get sex whenever they need it, which is what you say a few sentences later. "I mean I like sex, I like men, but it's not the center of my universe." That's because you can get sex whenever you want. If guys were playing mind games and hard to get all the time, you would become obsessed with sex also. If men would just realize that women want sex also and stop paying so much and quit doing or saying anything just to get laid, things would change pretty quickly. Also, you are making generalizations. I don't think most men are as horny as you are making them out to be. Some men will risk their political careers for sex, but most won't. I am sure women in power have extramarital affairs too, but the media only seems to care when men sleep around. Seriously, do you really think most men spend a good portion of their day looking at porn? I am one of the horniest people you will ever come across, and even I usually don't spend any more than an hour in a day.
16 :
I dunno about other guys but I am not out for just sex whne I treat a girl to a resteraunt or such I am establishing a connection and don't mind paying. I don't spend hours of the day on porn sites and honestly I don't see why other guys do. This is one guy who enjoys sex but does not let it rule his life and any girl that is just out to see how much she can sap from me had best just keep on looking.
17 :
Some men are completely dominated by their sex drives, and some aren't. Often, men's extreme interest in sex lessens with age. Thankfully, I am no longer willing to sell myself short in order to please women like I was willing to do in my late teens. I have learned that there is no such thing as 'the one and only' woman for me, and I now date 2 or 3 women at a time to prevent going crazy for any one woman ever again. I think men that have pride in themselves and work hard for a living don't go to strip clubs or spend a lot of time looking at internet porn. These men have faith in their ability to attract a decent woman, so they aren't as preoccupied with finding new women to have sex with all the time.
18 :
i only spend ten minutes every third day or so on porn websites

UK Election, Final debate on the economy (Pt.2) Will Gordon Brown answer these points?

UK Election, Final debate on the economy (Pt.2) Will Gordon Brown answer these points?
This is the second part to the QUESTIONS that UK voters need to have answered on tonight's debate: The first part can be found by clicking on this link: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtIBE_Qq2z1UDDGlkyHQCq0KT31G;_ylv=3?qid=20100429022854AA8FVoZ The UK has done that with Europe, Nato, the UN, G7, G20 and many other agreements. This, in turn, has led to the imposition of regulations that govern many aspects of our economy, our criminal and civil laws, environment and trade. The consequent administrative burdens that we, as a nation, now face is so complex that even a minor policy change will require massive scrutiny just to ensure we’re fully compliant. I feel sorry for local councillors, doesn’t matter which party they belong to. They’re trying to serve their local communities, keep costs down and improve the lot of their constituents. But the regulations being heaped on them, almost on a daily basis, is adding to their costs with no direct benefit to their communities and the electorate will penalise them at the ballot box, not knowing that it won’t make a blind bit of difference because the Councillors don’t have the authority to change these laws. Regardless of who gets elected at the next General Election, they are going to be trussed up by these administrative burdens that were nodded through by the Labour Government. So our room for manoevre is severely constrained. Finally, we come to the issue of growth. Where is it going to come from? Remember, this isn’t 1979. As bad as things were then, we knew that major finds in the North Sea held huge opportunities for our Country. We were able to off-load State-owned industries to the Private Sector via a money market stuffed with cash and burgeoning economies in the Far East, Europe and America provided willing custom for these new highly productive industries, now revitalised with Private capital and methods. That won’t happen this time. We can’t go back to the ‘80s, we’re in a very different world now. How about Green jobs? Well even in the rosiest of scenarios, we’re only looking at around 200,000 jobs, all of which will be subject to fierce competition from every Country that is also trying to steal a march on this new technology. In the meantime, we’re likely to lose 3 jobs for every green job created because of the imposition of new carbon trading rules and environmental regulation. Oh, and in case we are thinking that the UK might suddenly get an oil revenue bonanza from a major find in the Falkland Islands, think again. Brazil and other South American countries are not all that favourably disposed toward Britain at the moment and Argentina is now a democracy no longer ruled by a military junta. Our negotiating position is very weak and World trade bodys are far more likely to rule in favour of those Countries than the UK. We may see some revenue if oil is found but nothing anywhere near the scale we had from the North Sea. So minimal export opportunities, no oil, the Consumer flat on his back, massive debts, crippling legislation and huge unemployment with no prospect for jobs growth and the potential for massive social upheaval. How can Gordon spin his way out of this one?

Football Section: Why is Manchester City such a joke?

Football Section: Why is Manchester City such a joke?
Remember all the talk about Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez, and Robinho all on Man City, a year later, Robinho is at Milan after being loaned out to Santos before...Tevez keeps talking about going back to Argentina, now Adebayor is loaned out to Real Madrid. Where is the loyalty in this club??? This club is an utter joke and will fail once their owner sells his toy. No history behind this club in the past few years, yet they think they can roll with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal. Sure, they win some games and are currently 3rd in PL, but look at their starting lineup, only Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, and De Jong were at the club 2 years ago, the rest were brought in the past 2 summers, the solution to make your team better is to grow loyal players from a youth system, not just buying everyone left and right. Only half of the players on Man City are loyal to having a long-term career with the club...the rest are there for the money. Adebayor was a star for Man City a year ago, now he's loaned out, congratulations Man City for being such a pathetic club. FQ: Tottenham are almost as bad as Man City, agree? Keiran: Giovani dos Santos is all-Barca, he deserves better than being on the reserves, yet Redknapp won't sell him. Talk about being a hog... Keiran, I obviously don't see any of the players you mentioned besides Lennon with a future at Tottenham, after all, they are behind a bunch of Internationals on the squad :/ with the exception of Bale and Huddlestone who actually start heheh

FQ Errrrmmmm no We don't buy a player one transfer window and sell him the next And we have a lot of British players, British chairman, British Manager and a long list of players who have been at the club for more than a couple of seasons! And your going on about a youth system..... Danny Rose, Kyle Naughton, Kyle Walker, Gareth Bale, Gio Santos, Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddlestone, Jamie O'Hara, Jake Livermore, Steven Caulker, Andros Townsend, John Bostock, Jonathan Obika Need i continue? So after all that (^^^^^^^) all you can argue is Santos not getting a game? I'll tell you why, shall i? The kid more than failed to impress when he was sent out on loan at Galatasaray He has a poor attitude and was often turning up late for training, which is why Harry Redknapp began to get a little pissed off towards him And i believe that he may still be recovering from an injury at the moment
2 :
Completely agree with you. They think they can buy their way into success. For me, some of the plays like Tevez, deserve a better club than Man City.
3 :
You sound like a little Man U fan boy. At least City fans support their local team!
4 :
I agree. I don't like Man City because they promise so many things but at the end they're not gonna win a championship. However, there is a difference between Tottenham and Man City. Tottenham have been playing together for such a long time and they are going NOWHERE. On the other hand Man City is still trying to find a system beacuse they get new players each year. In conclusion, Manchester City isn't what everyone expects, but Tottenham... they need to do better. I HATE REDKNAPP BECAUSE I'M FROM MEXICO AND I KNOW THAT GIOVANI DOS SANTOS HAS A LOT OF TALENT. LET HIM GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

7 :
Who gives a shit if Man city are buying players? Every other rich team has done it in history before so why can't Man City do it and give their fans something back after a history of non success. Real Madrid do the exact same thing all they do is buy already established stars. You're just annoyed that no-one can really compete with them in the transfer window. You can't really blame them for buying all these players, because they're just trying to build their team just like everyone else. If other teams had City's reasources they would be doing the same thing.
8 :
How are they a joke? They are one of the top clubs in England... And some food for thought, don't forget that before the 90s, Barcelona had no European history either. Everybody starts somewhere you glory hunting *******.

This is confusing me like crazy. Is he interested or not?

This is confusing me like crazy. Is he interested or not?
So, this guy who I heard liked me from some friends, actually asked me out on a date today, to go to the cinema. I said yes, and so I went to town to hang out with friends, and told him when he gets to town he should text me so I can come meet him. So I was in town, and I asked him about what time he could get into town so I could plan ahead a bit, and he said he's doing homework and he has to see when he's done. I hung out in town for ages, and it was freezing, so I asked him again, and he said he was too busy with homework to make it. It really ticked me off!! I mean you don't ask a girl out to a date and then say you're too busy doing homework. Anyway, I asked him "so that's it?" and he said "I'm very busy sorry" (this was texting). And I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. So I asked him if he wanted to tag along to ice skating tomorrow with some people from my class, he knows them too, and he said Ok. and that was it. I haven't heard from him since. He's in the grade below me, but actually older than me because I skipped a grade and he's from argentina so there's a half year difference anyway. I don't know him that well yet but he seems really nice. He also seemed interested when we hung out on Friday after school, and I asked to ride his bike (don't ask, it was a thing of the moment thing) which he had described as his baby and he spent a lot of money on, and he even went and switched gears and changed the seat level so I could try it. So it seemed like he liked me. But now he's giving me some other signs again. I like him, I guess, but I don't really know him that well, which was why I agreed to go to the date with him to get to know him better. What do you think? Does he like me, is he confused, did he actually have too much work (it's a Saturday, can't he do the work tomorrow??), or..? And what should I do? I don't want to seem super clingy, but apparently girls like guys who flirt with them, too. ARGHH this is just confusing me a lot. Because all these guys who seem to like me back out at the last second, like this guy who flirted with me A LOT and none of the other girls, and thne suddenly started ignoring me. So what am I doing wrong??

He asked you out so yeah he likes you. Sounds like he had something else going on could have been homework. You over text a guy and he will lose interest fast, we hate needy girls. Just chill and just let him move at his own pace.

He might have just asked you out because some of your friends said that he liked you. He may be ignoring you because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

Why? this is like Envy!?

Why? this is like Envy!?
Words of writer from Holand. All places have your positive points and negatives, but in outside they maximize the positive points. However in Brazil they maximize the negative points. Here in Holand, the results of election take far time, because don´t have nothing automated. Have only one telephony company and: if you call complaining about service , your telephone can be temporarily disconected. In United States and Europe, nobody have habit of rolling the sandwich in a napkin, or wash the hands before eat. In bakeries, fairs and butchers of Europe, the attendants receive the money and with same dirty hand give bread or meat. In London, there is a famous place that sell fried potato wrapped in newspaper-and have many people in door. In Europe, no-smoking are minority. If you ask for no-smoking table, the waiter laughs in your face, because not exists. They smoking until in elevator. In Paris, the waiters are know for your bad humor and grossness and any waiter of pub of Brazil can go there to give class of "How to conquer a costumer". You know how the great potencies make to destroy one people?Impose their beliefs and culture. If you stop to observe, in all movie of USA the national flag appears, and and usually the time when we are emotional... The brazilian people have a language, that despite not resemble the Portuguese language, is called of portuguese language, while the enterprises of software called it of brazilian portuguese, because they can not comunicate with your brazilians users across of Portuguese language. The data bellow are of Antropos Consuting: 1-Brazil is the country that has most success in AIDS combat and of another diseases sexually transmitted, and has been world example. 2- Brazil is the only country of south hemisphere that be participating of Genome Project. 3- In a search involving 50 cities several countries, the city of Rio de Janeiro has been considered the most solidary. 4- In elections of 2000, the system of Regional Electoral Court has been informatized in all regions of Brazil, with results in less of 24 hours after the begin of counting of votes. The model called the attention of one of biggest World potencies: the United States, where the counting of votes has that be redone many times, delaying the result and puting the credibility of process in doubt. 5- Same being a country in development, the brazilians users represent one slice of 40 percent of market in Latin America. 6-In Brazil, there are 14 plants of vehicles installed and others 4 being installing, while some neigbours countries don´t have. 7- Of the childrens between 7 and 14 years-old, 97,3% are studing. 8- The market of cellphones of Brazil is the second of the World, with 650.000 new habilitations each month. 9-In fixed telephony the country ranked fifth in number of lines installed. 10- Of the brazilian enterprises, 6890 have the quality certified ISO - 9000, most number among the countries in development. In Mexico, are just 300 enterprises and 265 in Argentina. 11-The Brazil is the second biggest market of jets and helicopters executives. Why you don´t say about : 1- The book market in Brazil is biggest that of the Italy, with most of 50.000 new titles each year? 2- That Brazil have the most modern bank system of the planet? 3-That your Advertising Agencies win the better World awards? 4- Why don´t say that the Brazil is the country most enterprising of the World and that most of 70% of the brazilians ,poor and rich, devote a considerable portion of their time in volunteer work? 5- Why you don´t say that Brazil is today the third biggest democracy of the World? 6- That despite all the corruption, the congress be punishing your own members, what rarely happen in another countries who claim "CIVILIZATED"? So, Stop say bad of my country, because all places have your positives and negatives points! This is like envy

what? I live in the USA and I never "hear bad stuff about Brazil". but you are right in your last sentence about all places having positives and negatives, therefore, I really don't understand why you talked down USA, London, and misc places in Europe while putting Brazil on a pedestal. A little contradictory ...

Uh... What?? I speak English and am from the United States, and I could barely understand that. From what I could grasp, that article is full of untrue statements and irrelevant comments. We are not in the habit of rolling sandwiches in napkins or washing our hands? What? I don't know for sure what is meant by that sandwich bit, but every time I buy a sandwich it comes wrapped up in paper... Plus, there are stickers in every store bathroom saying that employees must wash their hands, so I would in fact say that we are well versed in the fine art of hand washing. I don't understand what that whole thing was supposed to be about. We went from sandwichs to smoking to AIDS and discussed how an American flag is present in every single emotional scene in an American film because we are rudely trying to impose our culture upon others (oh, how I love sarcasm). In conclusion, that was a horrendously written piece, and I do not understand what it is that you are asking. Have a nice day. *Edit: I reread this, and I am absolutely thrilled to take note of how many cell phones Brazil sells and how outstanding the telephone service is. The writer is really desperately grabbing at cool facts here, aren't they? I find the fact that they take pride in their phones to be quite humorous. Unfortunately my rude teenage sarcasm will be lost on the person who asked this question.
